So, are you going on record as saying that you think women's jeans, which are typically skin tight and accentuating the buttocks, are modest???

So, if YOU were a pastor, you would tell women in the church to wear a dress because you could see their shape because of their jeans? Good job, and good grief

No. I would tell them that women's pants do not reflect the image of Christian modesty admonished in Scripture for women. If asked why, I'd advise that they speak to my wife, or a seasoned woman of the church, for the details. If pressed, I'd say that the majority of women's pants in our society are far too tight to agree with Christian modesty.
Any man who has ever lived with a woman who wears pants knows the first two questions she's likely to ask as she exits the dressing room and turns to see herself from behind in the mirror.
1.) "Do these jeans make me look fat?"
2.) "How does my bottom look in these jeans?" And woe unto the man who doesn't know how to answer these questions with wisdom...
I'm not intending to be indecent, it's just an extremely common experience. lol

Now you're being silly. lol
Yes, even pants for overweight women can be immodestly form fitting.
Please note, I'd apply the same standard to certain dresses and skirts. Because even some dresses and skirts are too form fitting, or revealing, to meet the Christian woman's call to biblical modesty.
Again, the admonishment to Christian modesty is more than sufficient for elders to admonish women to not wear pants, without having to argue that women's Jordache jeans pertain to a man.

Oh, even better,
New Convert: "Why can't I wear my jeans? "
Pastor Chris: "You need to talk to my live in girlfriend."
Pastor Chris' girlfriend: "we don't wear jeans because of modesty."
New Convert: "what? I heard you and Pastor Chris eat breakfast naked. One of the youth went by your house. They knocked on the door, and saw you eating cornflakes naked. Plus Pastor Chris was rolling a joint with one of the pages of his Bible."
Pastor Chris' girlfriend: "But that's in the privacy of our own home. Here you are supposed to dress modestly. Pastor Chris, keeps looking at you and seeing your..er...shape."
New Convert: "My what? I thought I saw him looking at me through those blood shot eyes."
New Convert: "does Pastor Chris, happen to have any Bible for this?"
Pastor Chris' girlfriend: "no, he just thinks it is wise because he can't stop noticing your shape"
New Convert: "That's what Muslims believe."
Pastor Chris' girlfriend: "OK, but that is what Pastor Chris said"
New Convert: "Fine, I'll go tell my 6'10 390 powerlifter husband, and let him decide. Then he will stop by your house in the morning. So, I advise you and Pastor Chris be dressed before you open the door"

Why don't you just put them into a 55gal drum?
Chris, go find a church now.

Re: Did Jesus Wear Pants?
This may have been already covered, but when we search the New Testament itself we find references to tunics, some sort of belt, cloaks, and sandals. Tunics were long shirt-like garments. It does not appear that pants are mentioned in the NT. I don't think turbans or other headwear are mentioned either, but turbans are mentioned in the OT. I had originally asked if Jesus and the other men of his day wore anything that visibly distinguished them from Jewish women. There has been a great deal of talk on underwear, but that, unlike in our day, was not visible.
