No. You... Dino... and others have no right to be critical of another preacher. Not on AFF.

Now that you mention it.... XYZ is turrble. Every message is just a bunch of personal stories. He gives a scripture at the beginning just because it's customary.

Plus he takes his jacket off while he preaches and loosens his tie.

You're blowing it completely out of proportion and insinuating that all LS does in his messages is tell untrue stories.
apparently you missed some of my previous post, I have not said what you assert.

If LS wants to believe he's seen angels, who are you to say he didn't? Please explain. He said there is a portal over his house where angels fly over and he can feel them. Do you believe people have seen angels? Do you bash others who claim to have seen angels? Im not bashing.

If LS believes in magic hair, that's his issue.
If he believes hair is magic he should change his view to match the scripture.

I've known several ministers who have claimed to see angels. I also know a few who have told stories which turned out to be untrue. the untrue stories.. what do you call something that is told but not true? unintentional, uninformed, uninvestigated what do you call it?

Let's take Y2K as an example. The media and especially end time oriented ministries and Pastors were all talking about how banks and computer systems would collapse and how we would be plunged into the dark ages.

Well, the clock ticked from 11:59PM, December 31st, 1999 to 12:00AM, January 1st, 2000 without a single system going down.

I'm not going to bash them over that.
I just state my opinion so why are you bashing me?

You're right...I mistakenly attributed a couple posts from 1ofthechosen to you.

And? What if angels do fly over his home? I knew a young man who followed LS for several months. Spent time with him at home, on the road, etc. LS spends most of his day in prayer, at least at that time he did. I'm not talking 15-20 minutes a few times a day. Hours straight. On his face, praying for hours, every day. So if LS says he can feel angels, I wouldn't argue.

Again, a couple quotes I thought were yours were actually 1ofthechosen's.

We certainly should use the scripture as a cornerstone for our beliefs. Interpretation of scripture, however, may vary.

Personally, if I use a story or illustration in a message, I research them to verify if they are true or accurate.

Have you ever used, or heard another minister use, the story of how the High Priest would have a rope tied to his waist or ankle in case he was struck down by God and the body had to be pulled from the Holy of Holies?

If you believe this or have used it, it's untrue. It's something which was made up at some point. There is nothing in Jewish writings which provide evidence of this practice.

I've heard this used a lot during my lifetime.

I do wish ministers would stick to more Word and less stories, and if they use stories, I wish they would look into them and verify whether true or not.

In a church I had previously attended, the Pastor shared a political story he read on FB. It was about a politician's (Sen. Harry Reid's) outlaw ancestor, an alleged horse thief who was hung for his crimes. Well, it took me 5 seconds on Google to find several other exact stories, but about other politicians. Trump. Clinton. Reid. AlGore. And other politicians. It wasn't true. The story has been circulating for years, and the name changes now and then depending on who is in the news.

I have heard it preached but I have never used it Ive never been comfortable with the idea but I have never looked it up.
I have heard the story of the eagle renewing itself pulling out all of its feathers and claws and breaking its beak and living in solitude it was kinda weird listening to it thinking it cant be true and later researching on my own and finding out its just a made up story.

Your not wrong in what you said, all that's a 100 % correct. It's 90 % stories 10 % word and saying 10 % is being very generous.

C, would you like me to refer to you here with your first name? Mine is only used by my mother, and she is dead. Anyway, in this very thread I post my views on a Brother Stoneking sermon[s]. Through the years I have tapped him on various items which he has dropped the watermelon. But, let me explain, I know we have so many in forums and Christianity who are defenders of Truth. Who want to be washed and clean, who defend candy stick doctrines to the death. Also those who will fight like wolves to tear down traditions held by Apostolic Pentecostals with justifications that these traditions are man made.

Yet, where does it get them? Oh, spending hours in circling the drain called religion on the internet? Discussing and critiquing what each other believe is good thing. I have that of my own self, by people who love me and people who hate me. It is all good, and needful. My main point here is that this place isn't church, it isn't a congregation church family. Yes, some of us have been posting for years together, even where we know each other on a first name basis. We have learned to love each other, and also to avoid each other. Again, this is not a church. Yet, in churches a Brother Stoneking is a VISITOR. The elders, the pastor, the church family, regulate what they want to keep and what they want to discard. Because they are in a church family with ministerial governance, all under one head, Christ.

Brother Stoneking preaches about NASA seeing the New Jerusalem coming towards the earth, or voices from Hell in Siberia. Then that is the job and discretion of the ministry to shut it down or pass it around. So, making a picture of a golden calf with Brother Stoneking's name on it? Funny, maybe, but let's see someone do that with the brother's pastor.

Anyone understanding me?

I'm serious, even preaching from preachers you know and love dearly can be found a whoops. My friend, Brother Charles Mahaney ( no longer with us) said some things that made me raise an eyebrow. Same with some other preachers who were in high positions. Also i was told some Whopping Jiminy Crickets over a meal at a few Cracker Barrels. But that is what fellowship, and ministry is all about. Brother Stoneking isn't going to change because of my critiquing his stuff, or me creating a meme concerning him. I call a spade a spade, anyone who knows me knows that real well. But, should he be covered in tar, with feathers, and ran out of the movement on a rail? No, pray for me, pray for him, pray for the movement, and pray that someone CLOSE, RESPECTED, to him, speaks to Brother Stoneking about filtering and researching things he tosses over the pulpit. Like Votivesoul mentioned, Brother Stoneking loves to get Pentecostals to worship, and especially he LOVES the NAME of Jesus. Those are good things. Brothers Charlie Mahaney, Irvin Baxter Jr, Marvin Treece, might of hit some stumps, and dropped some watermelons, but they love, and loved Acts 2:38, and the Apostolic movement. I have had my differences with these brothers, but I would rather have them on my side in a fight, then an Army of Trinitarians. By all means critique, examine, but remember some of these brothers keep the main thing the main thing. Someone posted that Brother Stoneking has catches his beating due to the long uncut hair holding authority power over angels. I would agree, but in Florida there has been that teaching here longer than Brother Stoneking.

Would your pastor preach Brother Stoneking?
