What being PAJC doesn't do ....
  • Make a person right doctrinally.

  • Ensure that people are filled with the Holy Ghost

  • Produce or determine or guarantee anointing or a greater degree of it.

  • Produce or determine or guarantee holy living.

  • Produce or determine or guarantee revival.

  • Determine entrance into heaven.

Understood, and I have no quarrel with you or Dave. What a strange alliance!

My only point is that just because I disagree, doesn't mean I need to leave the organization. If I ever get to the point where the disagreements hamper my ability to effectively minister I'll be gone. So far, I'm just annoyed by some fruitcakes.

Dave, this stuff really isn't personal with me.

I am always interested in the process people go through as they change their doctrine.

For example, you and I disagree vehemently.

I fear for your soul.

But I believe we have always been cordial.

So I can do it--I have proven I am capable.

Now this is the kind of stuff that gets things moving. I don't have time right now to weigh in, but I love a good, passionate exchange! This is more like it!!!

You know, I may be one of the ones being discussed here without anyone else knowing it.
I have always been a "3-stepper", completely ignorant of any merger, or that the UPCI was formed by PCI & PAJC. Never knew any of that until FCF, really only had one UPC pastor, and he never really got into the whole "organization" thing. He used UPC, ALJC, and independant men without distinction.
But now, I find myself wondering.....
Does a person enter covenant relationship at repentance, or not? Covenant as in contract, where both parties have obligations to fulfill?
Aren't we still preaching 2 commandments and a promise? Does death, for instance, negate a covenant entered into in good faith? Granted, once one repents, baptism and HG infilling should follow, and I teach this, and believe it with my whole heart. But I do not believe that person will go to hell should death interrupt the process.

On a different note, I am open to receive correction, but I must believe the person correcting has my best interests at heart. I visited a church once where the speaker (he was no preacher, IMO) took off on a rant regarding pentecostals. As soon as his attitude entered into his speaking, I turned him off. He may have recited nothing but truth after that, but I didn't hear it. Some of us could learn from this story.
