While we are all whining about the current complexion of the board consider this.
1. Epley (whom I defended) consistently puts people in Hell over personal convictions and nothing is said regarding those posts. He also consistently bashes the UPC from a conservative point of view.
2. I am really, really tired of the sexual innuendo present on AFF of late, especially the gay humor. It is revolting and completely unfunny.
3. I still contend there is a small contingent of absolute feminists who despise men in general on AFF. This bleeds over into many threads regarding men in ministry and the whole "standards" issue.
Really, I can deal with all of this stuff. We have a lot of diversity of opinion present on AFF. I would hate to see it become a conservative or liberal board. But have we considered that maybe times are changing and perhaps many folks aren't as rock-solid concerning Pentecostal traditions as they once were?
Either way, I like it here. It's a pretty friendly board.
CC1 is right. Tell the UC's to post some threads of their own. Did it get too hot here for them?

1) Who was gleeful over Sis Mich leaving her church? I saw people offering lots of advice. A pastor that is not far from her even gave her his address so she could come visit. An apostolic pastor.
2) Gay humor? I guess I must have missed that cause I don't remember seeing any gay humor recently. Maybe you can explain this one further.
3) You may be right on the slant towards some feministic type of anti-male, especially those in ministry thing. I have wondered about that myself.
Basically, what I see is that several of the standard keepers have been getting their fair share of "back at ya" on these standard threads and they just can't take it. Well, you know what they say, "If you can't take it, then don't dish it out."
I guess what has me most confused about all this complaining is that, compared with how things were over on NFCF and FCF, this place is so much better. Yeah, there is alot of in your face type of posting, but nothing like some of the vicious things I have seen posted in the past. Admin seems to be doing a good job of nipping that sort of thing in the bud pretty quick.
The only thing I can say that was starting to bug me a little bit is how one poster in particular seemed to be dominating all the arguments. Wherever there was a conflict, it seems like he was right there in the middle of the whole thing and sometimes the cause of it. I may get into trouble for sharing his name here, but I am used to getting into trouble from admin anyway. It was Brother Dan Alicea. In his defense, there is nothing in the rules that says you have to limit yourself to what threads you participate in or which posts you respond to, so maybe it isn't fair to single him out. (Don't take it personally, D.A., I am just being honest.) I figured he would eventually run out of steam because most people that post that much usually do.
I come here to have fun, stay connected to people of like faith, maybe to help someone every now and then, and sometimes I get involved in the deeper type of discussions. Sometimes I just need to share where I'm at in this thing called life and recently I got a lot of help from people from this forum. I like this forum much more than I did the others, so it's hard for me to really see all that much wrong with the way things are.
