Pantsuits: pants on men and at least mid calf length skirts or dresses on ladies. Pantyhose on the ladies are preferred. Also, no splits in the skirts.

Jewelry: no gold, silver or pearls. No finger rings, toe rings, ear rings or nose rings. Watches should be simple and not have the appearance of gold, silver, diamonds or pearls.

Makeup: No makeup of any kind.

Of course, you can do ALL the above and if don't have Jesus on the inside, you are still lost. Some of the biggest devils we are fighting in the church today are dressed in "holiness". Pray through, pray through, pray through. Clean the inside and make the outside presentable to a Holy God.
Shirts below the elbow, but no shorts below the knee? Seems inconsistent.

Re: Hair, sleeves, pantsuits, jewelry, and makeup

I like asking evangelists for memorable moments in their ministry. One told a story of being asked to preach a week-long revival at a church. He said he arrived at the airport curb to meet the Pastor of the church where he would be preaching and the Pastor shook his hand, gave him some money for food and said sorry, but I can't allow you to preach the revival. The evangelist asked what happened and the Pastor told him he doesn't allow wedding rings. The evangelist offered to remove the ring while he was there and the Pastor rejected the offer, said simply taking it off isn't enough.

The Pastor got in his car and left the evangelist at the airport.

I understand personal convictions, but that was rude and wrong. The Pastor should have asked about it before scheduling the evangelist and leaving him at the airport by himself.

Definitely a mistake on the pastor’s part in not knowing the man he had asked to come preach for him. On the other hand, I have to respect the man for being up front with him and taking a stand for a BIBLE conviction.

I’m with n David. It’s a personal conviction. It is not biblical.

Wearing jewelry is sin. In the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses...

It’s settled.
