Facial Hair by Chancy Gore.

A UPC Publication.

Throughout history it has been observed that wizards and witches wore beards. Women unfortunate enough to grow beards were regarded as witches. Witches were well known to have black tuffs on their chins. Have you ever seen a picture of the devil without a vandyke beard and moustache?

It is interesting to note the simliarity of these two and their association with facial hair. People seem to always just assume that the devil has a beard and moustache.
On page 35 Gore goes pulls no punches.

Quote:
At one time the moustache was viewed as the mark of the beast. "In the new court and (so far as I know) through England in the middle of the last century a moustache was said to be the mark of the beast".

While the Bible provides no support for this premise it is easy to trace the association of FACIAL HAIR with the devil and evildoers.

Idk about that. The devil emoji doesn’t have a beard. He’s clean shaven.

History has revealed that no matter what guise facial hair goes under, its underlying motive is the PRIDE OF LIFE and pride in self.
Gore explains why men want a beard. Page 63

Quote:
After all the efforts of justification are analyzed the most common reason for facial hair is SIMPLY PRIDE.

Mike, so does this guy represent everyone who doesn't wear facial hair?

You sure love strife.

He represents the UPCI. His book is being sold by them to this day. It does not mean that everyone in that ORG shares his view. It does explain why the majority of UPC preachers wont give up the false doctrine that beards are sin. Headquarters is still on record as opposing it.

No he doesn't, no more than anyone else in the UPCI represents its whole.
It is a fellowship of ministers. But, be free to show me where in the minister's manual where being clean shaved can be found. Mike, this is why I reposted Brother Burk's article. Because the thread went off track. But, you feel the need to go after an organization by using one guy. One book, and on top of it you take in the show at a UPCI church? That's what really discredits anything you say against the organization.

So? You have Irvin Baxter Jr, sold with William Chalfant, one is a dispensationalist Post Trib, and the other Dispensationalist Pre Trib. Then what would be the eschatology of the UPCI? You would have to check the manual. Not some little smeezy book.

So, why persecute those with those who do? You keep making sure you post a UPCI publication. You want your readers to form an opinion, the same opinion you hold.

Headquarters said it was sin Mike? The United Pentecostal Church International Headquarters made a statement that having a beard is sin? Prove it.

WHY USE PENTECOSTAL PUBLISHING HOUSE?

Pentecostal Publishing House (PPH) is the official publishing entity of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) and is the largest publisher of Oneness (Apostolic) Pentecostal books and resources in the world. PPH publishes and distributes high quality, biblically faithful, and well-written books and resources that you can feel safe sharing with church members and non-Christians alike. When you purchase from PPH, you are helping to support the broader mission of the UPCI because all profits from PPH are reinvested in the programs and efforts of the church.
