Re: Business and the Current Crisis

It’s going to be a logistical nightmare is what it’s going to be. Not sure exactly what model they are planning on using but I suspect it will be more simple measures like ordering more meds via phone and temporary measures for now. We don’t do acute care so we don’t order a lot of labs routinely. All surgeries have been cancelled for the next 30 days.

Re: Business and the Current Crisis

I'm thinking it would involve blood work done at the clinic, and then a week later (after results have come in), a telemed appointment if patient has that capability. A lot of seniors would have no clue about how to deal with such a thing, but for anyone younger than 60 years, it probably wouldn't pose any problems.

Re: Business and the Current Crisis

As far as your original question, thankfully we are doing fine so far. My husband and children's jobs are all considered essential so they are continuing to work. Our state just went into "shelter at home" today, and all nonessential businesses are to shutter their doors for 21 days.

I still can't understand the whole TP shortage, but we have enough TP to last us for a long time, and I put in a large garden each year, so I've got canned goods to last us a long time, plus I have always bought extra food each time I shop, so the only thing we need at the grocery store is fresh dairy and produce mostly.

I'm interested to see what others are experiencing too...

I’ve sold weights, dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, and plates since High School.
I have NEVER!!! Seen anything like this, where people are coming out of the wood work to buy weights. All the gyms are shut down, York Barbell is CLOSED. Hampton Weights are CLOSED. Rouge Fitness is just doing sales on line, but you needed a truck full of money to buy their products before this happened, now prices are rising. Online some guys are selling weight at 4 dollars a pound!!! That is insane! But, the sad thing is people are buying at those inflated prices. I’m trying to stay at 1 dollar a pound. But if I can’t get weight anymore at a price the consumer can afford, I’ll stop selling. I refuse to sell to anyone at inflated whacky prices.
People who train with weights cannot go too long without training. Therefore it is a crisis. I don’t go to a gym. I was raised in a garage gym. Therefore I always had my own equipment. But not everyone has that, or can have that.

If any of you have weights that are collecting dust or rust in your garage or backyard sell them on OfferUp, Letgo, Craig’s list, or local pick up EBay. Help the Gymless masses in your area. Help some needy boy or girl get the iron they need to train.

Re: Business and the Current Crisis

Nothing has changed for me. Working full-time as one of those expend...I mean, essentials.

An elder in my assembly was just laid off with he said about 95% of the workforce at his job.

Another sometimes member who works at Hobby Lobby is scared and upset because they are reopening on Monday and he doesn't want to have to go back to work and is trying to get people to call the governor to petition him not to allow Hobby Lobby to reopen.

Re: Business and the Current Crisis

Any business owners here? Or people in executive or advisory positions to small or medium sized business owners? Enterpreneurs? Etc?
