First objection goes against the votes from the State of Arizona.

Senate is ordered back to its chamber and both the House and Senate will now have 2 hours to debate the objection against the State of Arizona's votes.

“Some believe that as Vice President, I should able to accept or reject electoral votes unilaterally. Others believe that electoral votes should never be challenged in a Joint Session of Congress. ….I believe neither view is correct.”

Essentially Pence promises to give a full hearing to the objections, but says that it’s up to members of Congress to accept or reject the electoral votes from the states.

And since Dems control the House, it will fail there; and, it will likely fail even in the Senate due to a number of GOP Senators who have stated their opposition to the objections.

Yep. I am trying to give Pence the benefit of the doubt on his motives, but I do feel he is wrong in his interpretation.
