Glad you left RevRand out of the equation.....he just likes to be right because he's a guy!

Oh, I see. Well that is very nice.

More of my tolerance. I really love myself.

Wait, that could be viewed as patronizing.

Hmmmm.

I'm just going to be respectfully tolerant to all that I can and to the others I will ignore!

Can you respect drunkenness or devil worship or homosexuality or adultery or any other ungodly practice mentioned in the bible? I don't see how in light of the Word. But that's where we need to hate the spot but not the spotted, hate the sin but not the sinner. The good news is that God can wash, forgive, remit, and cleanse from ever stain!!!!! He can take our old sinful nature and make us new creatures in Christ Jesus!!!!

Which brings me to another tangent here. It seems that the men, by nature, have a different way of conversing with each other and I have understood from past posts that we are admonished to stay out of it because men are just men.

So, what rules do they have and why do they get to seem as though they are back to back and counting paces, gun in the air.

Do they get to walk closer to the boundaries of tolerance, respect and charity?

I do believe I read something along those lines this week where the guys told the ladies to leave the discussion. I think it's because they think the ladies should be in the kitchen baking cookies and not debating.

In our Wed night bible study, the preacher was showing what it meant to be a disciple in bible days.

It seems that many middle eastern cities had all sorts of gods, and that they were willing to accept this Jesus God, as long as they could continue to worship all the other gods too. It was called religious tolerance, and they basically forced many believers to live ostracized lives because of their refusal to be tolerant of others views.

This is what many want today. Lets just all get along and be one big happy family, even if you believe in a different God than I do. No thank you. I will continue to raise my flag of intolerance to false doctrine.

I believe the definition of "respect" is only used when relating to a positive situation or subject. That's how I read it.

Amen to the rest of your post. That will preach!
