I am not anti-UPC. I believe as an organization they have every right to establish rules of conduct for their membership.
Furthermore, I never mentioned UPC in my post.

First of all I don't have defenses up since I don't feel under attack. Second I've heard people report what is said to be "common knowledge" before and discovered it was just someones imagination. Maybe the youth are doing it, but you basically indicated the entire church does it and then added especially the youth.
Lastly, I never said you did mention the UPC....that last statement is just Strange :-)

Prophesying by office is much different than by gift though both are perfected (matured) by love.
Dan seems to think that I have something AGAINST the man. I do not. Neither do I doubt that he is a Prophet. But, if he is truly a prophet, he needs to be mentored by a mature Prophet. He may not even be aware of how he is being led. I've seen novice Prophets that did not fully realize by what spirit they were led or how easily it was to be led by the spirit of error.
The initial despair that I expressed in the beginning had to do with the fact that Apostolics seem to be so gullible in accepting some of these things that they seem to have little knowledge of and what seems to be a shift in the movement. As I stated before, I felt much better after last nights service.
More later. I just got a call from some local folk that want to see me at Shoney's in a few minutes.

Do you think some "prophets" use gimicks to make someone think they know stuff about you? For example, I heard a man call a woman out once and sais she had borderline anemia...well I sat there and wondered how many women don't have anemia and the I also recognized the dark circles under her eyes could be a sign that she has anemia. I wonder how many do this kind of stuff until they get one right and they hype the correct ones and ignore the misses

I would be in favor of putting the blood of Jesus back into worship, including our singing with much less chanting.

Can you describe what it was about the music that made you believe it was New Age chanting?

That's the problem I am having...these are serious allegations too and I would think there would be more than just him stating his assertions
Additionally I asked for a clarification on what was meant by that spirit and calling that spirit a "he" if the word spirit was not meant to indicate some sort of spirit person/demon or devil. Im seriously asking for an explanation because I did come to that conclusion and Bro Strange said it was a wrong conclusion;

Nor does that make it chanting. I've heard pagan chanting. It's very obvious. Maybe BS can be more specific. I can't help thinking that up to now he has been a little vague
Was it the songs themselves or was it that they kept repeating a word of that song over and over and over and over and over and over? What do you mean by chanting brother? What do you mean by spirit? If this was already answered after this somewhere please forgive me

Praxeas, chill please. I don't see how the allegations are so super serious. Further I haven't seen any allegations. He simply didn't like what he heard or the spirit he identified.

Maybe that chant we have sung for decades Allelujah is demonic. Or that song in the hymnal Victory. Where you repeat the same word a hundred times... Any other great pentecostal chants you can think of?
David chanted His mercy endureth forever dozen of times in certain passages of Psalms.
Jewish customs are full of chants. Are they demonic?
I agree w/ prax on this one. Too many assumptions.

lol....I hope you were just trying to be funny. You don't see how the allegations are so super serious....you don't even see an allegation?
Ok, perhaps you don't know what the word allegation means or assertion...do you know what the word contradiction means?
On the one hand you are telling me the allegations are not serious and then on the other you are saying you haven't seen any allegations?
