Rhoni,

For some reason I thought you were living in Forth Worth. Where did I get that idea?

Bro. Phil,

I actually live in Rowlett and drive to Mesquite for church and to Coppell for work. The church is only about a 10 minute drive. Bro. Baker has quite a progressive church and excellent staff. There are quite a few of Sis. Falla's people there, including Big Larry. Big Larry is such an encourager, just as is Sis. Falla. They must have had awesome parents.

Blessings, Rhoni

Rhoni,

What exactly is 'ACN"? Is it a ministerial group like GNCM? Does it have a website?

Isn't your church the one pastored by the preacher who died of a heart attack a few years ago? Was it Keith Lane? What size is the church?

Sharon Baker is a friend of mine. I thought I heard she moved there to be with her brother. Have you met her?

CC1,

Yes. That is the church. Sis. L is remarried and is the minister of music, and does an awesome job. The church runs approx. 450 and they just remodeled the whole place and are building a New Life Center which will accommodate the ever increasing size.

Yes, Sharon/Sherry is here and she is such a blessing. We've had visitors from Brazil and they have done the interpreting thing...is is as cool as deaf ministry!

I am beginning to feel at home and the 'feel' of this church is awesome...one of love and peace...there is very little if at all conflict or judgement. I think Pastor Baker was just the right person to bring healing to this grief stricken church.

Blessings, Rhoni

Rhoni,

I was in Plano TX with Bro. A Mangun back in 1979 and many of Sis. Falla's family attended there at that time. In fact, I am pretty sure that Big Larry was one of them... of course I also know Lynn and then another poster on here who was at Plano at the time who is kin to Sis. Falla. In fact, Sis. Falla reminded me that Lynn brought me to her house back when she and I were at TBC together.

I am connected more closely to the Blakeys than that but I will not go into it here. It goes all the way back to my grandmother and grandfather and Elmore City, OK. where Bro. Frank Parkey (W.C. Parkey's uncle) pastored.

CC1,

ACN is a ministerial group similar to GNCM. They are stronger on "the message" than GNCM. I posted their site earlier in this thread. It is http://www.theacn.net

I think you will find that it pretty close to the PAJC safety net you and others have been speaking of.

Very intersesting. Isn't David Cook PCI though? I see that he is one of the speakers at their annual conference.

Yes I can vouch for the fact the ACN are three step men ,cause Bro.Baker is friends with Bishop Bob Williams and my friend the late Pastor Kenneth Eaves who was staunchly a three step man ,those these men would be considered liberal standards wise.
Yes Pastor David Cook is PCI.
