La 165 is supposed to be finished in 2009. But everyone will still have to slow it down in Glenmora/McNary, Foresthill, and Woodworth........

Back in the 70's it took them about eight years to build about an 8 mile bypass around the little town of Natchitoches, La.

The amazing thing is that I would see the tractors moving around on Sunday's as if they were working seven days a week hard. LOL!!

I grew up in Alaska where you had a very short three months or so to build whatever you were going to build each summer before the snow came.

They would have built an 8 mile bypass in one summer or less.

La. and Ms. must have the most corrupt state governments when it comes to road construction contracts. You have to really work to be that bad.

At least in Arkansas they make no pretense of working on the roads. They are just all bad and seem to stay that way.

Reminds me of that 35 mile stretch of road between Jackson and Vicksburg, MS.

I have been traveling it for over 31 years now and have NEVER been down it when at least some portion of it was not under construction.

Mrs. Boom,

The story he told about the boy ripped to shreds by dogs... that was a boy in my Church. You should have seen the pictures he showed. He's one of the finest young men you could ever meet. Because of that boy - and the fact that I prayed life back to him when the docs had given up - there are over 30 members of his family in the Church today.

Yes, he mentioned he was from your church in the sermon. That was a heart wrenching story, yet what a testimony! We just never know when those kids that are in our care for that 1 and 1/2 hour every week just what influence we can have on them. God knows though, and He draws them with His spirit. We too easily forget that it is God that draws them, we are only instruments in His hands.
There was such a burden the came across so strong in Bro Graham's voice. I just sat there again and cried just as I did the first time I heard it. I am going to try and copy it and give it to my Pastor so that he can pass it out to our Pastor so that he can hear it and I know that he will want to pass it out to the SS dept.

Blew by it doing about 80... but I waved after I realized it must have been NLPY's place.

Rushing back right now to do our Ministers Training meeting tonight. Would have stayed longer but I promised my young preachers that the next 4 Tuesday nights belonged to them...

BY THE WAY... I know what NLYP does when he isn't working on dead bodies: He uses a weedeater on the edges of the parking lot. I passed by and he was getting with it. Didn't have time to stop but we blew the horn as we passed by.

Hey, NLYP, we just passed an 18 wheeler accident right down the highway from you. You may be getting some business real soon!

BUMPING for NLYP. I'm guessing he didn't see this.
