Yes I have and I leave w/ the impression that he is doubtful ... emphasizing other possible scenarios ... he use the word "could" various times.
I think there is an inability to compartmentalize, here. I understand that to many Steadfast is of kindred spirit and perspective to many of you .... yet is the same measure used when "non-Apostolic" prophets are castigated and held to the fire ....???? I do not know Steadfast as many of you do... and I believe ... but I cannot make blanket assertions about RW because he has doubts ....
I am sure there were people in those services ... Apostolics albeit ... filled w/ doubt ... this does not make Steadfast a liar or those who doubted ... unbelievers that should be marked
Dan,
Let me be clear. I have no problem with folks doubting. I am human and I have doubted at times and will doubt again in the future. I will not, however, talk about the rotten smell coming from Denmark or Silsbee as is the case here. Nor will I accuse the stranger, in this case Bro. George Guy, to an area of having researched a long ago tragedy so that if family members involved in the tragedy just happened to drop in on a revival service I could put on a show like a snake oil salesman just to get the people emotionally excited and pumped and primed!
That, my friend, is not expression of doubt. That is slander and accusation of fraud and lying!
I give RW no place on this matter. He doesn't deserve it. He needs a good ole fashioned whuppin' to correct his bad manners!
I will pray that you find a place of repentance for the continued calling of a man of God a liar!
Did I?
<big sigh>
This is where we come to when the mere questioning of something very suspicious, in an environment where preachers are NOT to be questioned, takes place.
I think of a preacher going to Minn, MN a couple of days after the bridge collapse and saying in church "and the Lord told me a great tragedy occurred here!" and having the audience amazed at his spiritual insight (yes, it is called insight when a preacher "senses" something) when any bloomin idiot with a radio or tv or newspaper, has heard about it every few minutes for days! Yet in their suspension of disbelief they think the Lord miraculously told him.
Now I do NOT know the players involved here from Howard in South Caroline. (And I do not know Howard in South Carolina. I just assume that there are many of them.) Perhaps my NOT knowing anyone gives me a leg up.
I have seen true miracles and felt God moving and it is usually NOT during rip roarin services or while preachers are shouting or giving words of knowledge. To hear something that sounds like it comes from a John Edwards (of Crossing Over fame) or Silvia Brown, or Uri Geller, makes me want to go crawl in a corner and whimper. God is so much bigger then that.

Dan...
You missed his point.
Steadfast's varacity was not questioned or suggested to be the equivalent of a snake oil salesman. It was the visiting Evangelist that RW proposed such a contemptible label.

RW,
It actually requires more faith to believe what you are saying in some of your posts. This man was not from the area where he was ministering. His foreknowledge would have needed to be amazing for him to have known to research this long ago situation just in case these folks, not in any way associated with this church, just happened to show up for one of the revival services.
You are simply trying to disparage this man of God specifically and, in the process, all men of God in general.
Your words are accusing the brethren. Are you sure that is company you want to keep?

No point missed ... just the person ... premises remain the same eve with the shadows of doubt casted.
My God. A woman who has suffered for years over the most uncomprehendable loss is healed and filled with the Holy Ghost and we are debating if the preacher was a snake oil salesman!
I am sick at my stomach.

The power of doubt can never be underestimated either....but to whose detriment?
One man is being used in the gift of knowledge and the other in the gift of discernment and there is a contradiction.
Someone is not being led of the Holy Spirit.
