Do you serve the UPC, or do you serve God? If the UPC changes it's stance on something that isn't even Biblical, that's so horrible that you would leave?
Did you know the UPC used to preach against radio, high heels, wearing red, and such other nonsense? Don't you think the men who left over those changes were rather silly for doing so?
Those things were never established issues like television.
This isn't a good example. The UPC is NOT a church and KH is NOT my pastor. I am in submission to a Pastor not a leader in the org.
The message you will be sending will be loud and clear. It really won't matter how you try and justify it. You have more in your congregation that those who think exactly like you do. You might have some who think like I do.

And the message he'll be sending to his congregation will be loud and clear.
If you don't agree with something, it's ok to take your money and run......
How do you know I have a congregation? I've said before I don't pastor a church but I do work for a church. As far as your statement goes, the church I attend would not be affected at all by us leaving the UPC. Most of them have nothing to do with the UPC anyway, it's not just me that disagrees with what's going on, it's our entire church. Most of our people are ready for us to get out and are wondering why we haven't already.

The manner in which you have worded your posts have alluded to you being a pastor of a church.
Is your pastor going to pull out of the UPC as well?

The UPC NEVER made a stance against these things. Pastors may have preached against them at their local church but the UPC NEVER made a stand against them. Do your homework before you make statements like this. The stance against TV was one of the reasons I joined the org so when it changes that stance it is worth me leaving over.
