O PLEASE that mentality about " we don't want to get too good" ????
what kind of nonesense is that? Yes you can depend on talent so can preachers who preach.
we have churches out here that talk about us being TOO Professional???
AND! they wont let their choir sway or clap together- that is considered" choregraghing???

we have prayer for 1/2 hour and then practice for 1 hour. with trained voices and being very organized it can be done. you have to have seperate rehearsals for musicians and frontline singers though to make it work

Its just one more of those rules....it was terrible....I thought if someone new comes in and has to sit through that ...... it does not sound like your in a praise mode, but more like torture! I was embarrassing sometimes...I love to sing....but I want it to be a blessing to others not scare them!

I noticed a few raising their hands in worship during the national anthem!

Very nice! A little too much at the end though, IMHO!

No...I think PM meant the arrangement. Some folks don't like classics messed with all that much, and there's some merit to that. Usually, its the classics that feel that way.

OH OKAY well, i liked the dramatic ending especially for the type of concert we were doing. It sounds better in person maybe.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean either of those!

I meant that the fancy ending was a little too fancy for my tastes! The arrangement was great, but take a little off the ending and it would be perfect, IMHO!
