Where To From Here?

Ex 14:10-15
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still , and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

430 years of negativity could not be instantly erased from a people with a bondage mentality. Slaves don't have to think for themselves for someone else is doing it for them and sadly today there are many who acquiesce to others because it is easier than having to make their own decisions. When faced with the dilemma of Pharaoh or the Deep Red Sea, the question was, "Where to from here?" Those with bondage in their hearts said, "Let's go back to where someone else can tell us what to do." The leadership said, "Stand still. We are here until the LORD moves us. But .............The LORD said, "What are you doing praying to me? The message is always ..... Go forward!"

God is always moving, revealing, leading, creating. His Word is a "proceeding word". "The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." [Pr. 4:18 ] You have more revelation today than did the early pioneers of modern day Pentecost. There's no going back or standing still in the Kingdom! The message is always, "Forward!"

Respectfully
Raven

I've often wondered about the fact that the one who was chosen to be the leader, spent most of his life as a free man, a life of privilege and education... does this mean that God values secular education? I believe that Moses' education had a hand in some of the decisions he made which we now usually assume came to him directly from God.

Using Sister Felicity's question to continue my thread: In the 1500's the Lutherens followed God's revelation a ways ... then stopped. In the 1600's the Baptists, the 1700's the Methodists, the 1800's the Church of God, the 1900's the Pentecostals. Organizations name themselves by the place they stop in following after God. In Deuteronomy Moses reiterates of how God led Israel out of Egypt [bondage] through the Red Sea [baptism] and 50 days later to the giving of the Law at Sinai. [Pentecost] There they camped so long until the Lord said, "Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount". [Dt. 1:6] Many, it seems, can't get beyond Acts 2:38. This is indeed a door to a new dimension in God but if you were given a brand new house you would look foolish if all you did was dance up and down on the front porch saying, "This is the door, this is the door!" Beyond the door a spiritual mansion awaits. But some will find themselves where the writer of Hebrews says, "Let us therefore fear, lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." Don't let the decisions of men or religious organizations confuse you as to where God wants to lead YOU!

Well there is no truth in the Bible ,there are things in the bible that are new to us when God reveals them to us, so we must walk in the light as He is the light.
