How is that "going FORWARD?" It sounds like some sort of purge took place and now, like Stalin did, they've been trying to pencil people out of the old pictures. It's a scam, Elder. They've been deceiving us.
My family has been this wonderful oneness truth since 1925. I have many old photos and my family have always looked like holiness people. I knew my great grandparents personally and they never lied to me.

I have heard many wonderful stories of the past and the standards that were preached and keep. These have been passed to me and I am passing them to my children.

To call the elders lairs is a very serious offence. I thank God for my good elders.

IN Bible College I was told that because of my "trendy haircut" I wasn't able to continue singing in the ensemble nor would I be allowed to be in the picture for the cover of some PPH publication. Was my hair long? NO. Was my hair even on my color? NO. Ears? No. It was called a wait line. It was actually cut really short up to a point and then a normal length. Nothing fancy or even out of control.

But some koo koo authority figure thought it was just the sin of all sins. When I confronted her to question, as she couldn't even tell me to my face and sent my girlfriend, she immediately began to rebuke me.

Whats really funny about the whole story is that just so happened that same week we had a guest spkr. that had some book on old time pentecost and as my friends and I began to go thru the book we began to notice many of the ministers pictured in the old black and white photos had the same exact haircut. UNREAL!!!!

I will not pass these silly standards to my child! I was lied to. Either that or like in a lot of cases we are taught tradition and not Bible! And that is sad.

You sir are rebellious.

You needed to humble yourself and obey the rules of the bible college. I attended TBC and I can tell you that I didn't particle like or agree with all the rule but I obeyed them.

Obedience is better that sacrifice.

I'm not. WH is just continuing to Impose the traditions of man and his own personal preferences onto others.

That is the attitude of the Judasizers and pharisees that Paul rebuked.

"Holiness standards" were regional, so both sides are right, depending upon what part of the country they and their ancestors are from.

If one doesn't like the rules of a UPC bible college then they have every right and no one will stop them from going else where.

I'm not for sure what TBS is. Here its channel 38.

Why would I be rebellious? I'm confused. There was no pryor knowledge that this haircut was wrong. It was not in any handbook. IN fact its the haircut I had had for quite some time. I didn't have a choice but to obey silly. I didn't sing in the ensemble nor appear in the picture.

My whole point is that a rule that was enforced was made up in somebodies mind with outn researching the facts. The facts are that the same hairstyle was on the founding fathers. But even after finding this out I didn't go to her with the information. And after discovering that nobody had the back bone to address the situation with truth I took my licks, dropped her class, finished the year and went home.

Rebellious

Also your extra-biblical "standards" are silly. But as usual, enforced with the R-word. I could see them working though when taught from a loving standpoint but saying "Do what I say or die" will never birth success.

That is what you get for committing to an institution. Lesson learned, eh? At least it wasn't a total waste, you may have come away with more than your money's worth in lessons that others may never learn.

Though I agree that if you put yourself under a certain pastor or in an institution, you should follow the rules, like them or not.

Let not your good be evil spoken of...if it can be helped.

That particular professor also taught the sin of "Barbie" and "Barnie". I was brought in to the neighboring asst. pastors office to tell the story to him as she had racked up quite a few complaints.

OH well. Your right, lesson learned. And she is no longer there.
