Judgement... with a twist

Jhn 12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? (John 12:1-6)

You know.... Judas was right. That ointment could have been sold and the money could have been used to feed the poor. 300 pence. Now, I don't know how that relates to todays money, but they could have undoubtedly fed and clothed alot of needy people.

Only judging Judas words, that would have seemed to be the right thing to do with that ointment. His actions seemed right. But Verse 6 shows us that his motives were wrong. We judge people by their actions. They do the right thing, they must be good people, right. They wear the right clothes, go to the right church... they must be good people. Right?

Wrong. I saw a man one time having a seizure on the job. Some other men, passing by, stopped to help this man. They crowded around him and held him to keep him from being injured. I thought of the Good Samaritan and judged these men to be some of the finest. Helpful. Concerned.

What I didn't know was that they weren't helping at all. They were relieving the man of his wallet, his watch and some other personal items. They weren't Good Samaritians afterall. They weren't good at all.

We judge people by their actions. God, who sees into the heart, judges the very intents of the heart. Just because a person seems right, he seems correct, he seems to be good, doesn't necessarily make it so. God sees his heart and says that if we'll just wait, the secrets ofhis heart will be revealed. They hide the evil in their hearts quite well, but somewhere, somehow, God will let them be seen for what they really are.

People judge us by our actions the same way we judge them. I realize Jesus said that we aren't to judge, but, in all honesty, we all do it. Don't we? The thing to remember is when we judge others, we open ourselves up to be judged as well. What we all need to bear in mind is this: God doesn't necessarily judge our actions. He can see beyond that and sees the real intents of our hearts. Thats the reason we need to ensure that the motives and intents of our words and actions are pleasing unto the Lord who sees all and knows all.

Excellent!! So, if someone gets baptized in Jesus' name and speaks with tongues, they MUST be saved, no question about it.......right?

Well its a good start, I mean its obedience to THE WORD and we are given all that we need; mbrship to His Kingdom., no I won't believe that just because someone still 'sins' that that person is no longer saved, isn't that what is called by so many liberals 'legalism'? you gotta do this or that, not do this or that, act/do like someone else thinks a christian should do or be like
OR ELSE?
The woman with the perfum knew EXACTLY what she was to do with that bottle, whom it ws for from the time she first laid hands on it.
GOD is the only judge someone else mentioned that He alone knows the intents of our hearts I've known that since I can remember and it got me through the worst times of my life, He did not leave me or forsake me 'cause of what I WAS., NOPE! SO Ive always always known even since catholic communion, and probably even born with this assurance, that GOD would continue to commune with me come what may.
Whatever other people say is irrelevant.
THANK YOU., JESUS!
