IMO, AFF is a little too friendly sometimes.

You can hug a snake all you want, but in the end it still has poison ready to flow through it's fangs.

I think admin has bent over backwards to accomodate varying beliefs, but some folks have taken advantage of that kindness.

Renda, Merry Christmas, and I want you to know I really appreciate all you, and all other admins, do for us.

I was just lurking over on the movie thread and am astonished at the lingo used by Nathan and others bashing Oneness Pentecostals.

That junk gets old (and I like Nathan).

The last month or two has really pushed the limits of tolerance and decency around here. There is an entirely different environment that is unfriendly and spiteful, and it does not come from admins.

Been gone for a week because I didn't like it.

For the most part it is, alas, it is made up of mortals-fallen humanity who are in the process of being like the King.

Some days are better than others, and some are a little farther along than others, but we are (I believe) trying to do what is right!

Perhaps 2008 will afford us all an opportunity to do just a little better than in 2007!

Me? Bash Oneness Pentecostals?

I did not. I was bashing the concept of an untouchable and unquestionable demagoguery often considered the only leader of a church -- and that isn't a Oneness pentecostal thing, that's a problem that extends across Christendom as a whole beginning in Catholicism and ending with Pentecostalism -- reaching every single denomination (or ministerial fellowship) between those two points. The only time that I said anything even remotely about oneness is when I mentioned the modern apostolic doctrine - and, even then, I merely said that I didn't follow it. That's not bashing, merely stating a fact.

I apologize for not fitting into that box... I've been gone from the Apostolic church too long and seen the wide world of Christendom to really pick on a single group within the whole.

And I like you, too...

AFF is a very friendly place. There are some people here who need some fresh oil poured into their wounds and there are some people here who will pour it on them. And I think that just about covers everyone here!

I think it is great, never had a bad experience that I didn't deserve. For the most part I am all about diplomacy, and really am a "follow the rules" kinda guy.

Just decided not to follow some of them, but have no animus to those who do, and recognize the right of any organization to define what their parameters are going to be.

No desire to bash anyone, and have no desire to be bashed either.

AFF is good for me, as I am fairly isolated in my area.
