We actually use Revival as a word to mean special meetings where new ones come in, but actually Revival is for the Saints with new ones being added
as a natural off shoot of that.

How can you have true discussion if you are allowed to hold to only one view?

Exactly!

Of course, I believe in Acts 2:38 and I'm really offended if some think that I do not.

We use it as an awakening, every doctorine suffers from splintering over time or as I like to call it, "compromise". Every year or so a church needs to have a revival to "restore the truth"

Is this the beginning of the end for this forum being an Apostolic forum?? Have we gone charismatic?? Is the fat lady singing??

The problem with Acts 2:38 is not the 3 steps.

It has become the alter of some.

They have never moved past the alter.

It is not the completion of salvation for many.

If you take one more breath after completing.

You still have life to live before you complete the journey.

Move past the alter and live life more abundantly....

Everybody believes in Acts 2:38. But there are different interpretations of what Peter was saying there.

I believe it in the Oneness Apostolic tradition. Namely that you must repent, you must be baptized in Jesus name and then there is the promise of the Spirit.

I didn't even have to have anyone to tell me to repent. I did that as a natural result of Holy Spirit conviction, realizing I was a sinner and in need of a Savior. Repentance was the natural and immediate response to realizing I was a sinner.
