Oh I so need to go to bed before I get in trouble!
I feel the 'mantle' falling on you, AmazingGrace... accept your calling to fulfill the purpose at hand.

hehehehe

Generally Ferd and I kind of stand in each other's corner... I guess he's left me hanging tonight! Ferd would have a field day with this one!

And if you aren't nice I'll tell everyone how you gave a $100.00 blessing to the wrong person.

I forgot about that... still can't remember the details altogether...

I'm pretty safe until you start telling about my wedding announcements!

Strange how God works, huh?

And in answer to the question, NO, we do not bring in someone to preach who calls us asking to come. We have to know that God is speaking to us about having someone in, and we do not have very many special speakers at all.
Things like this is what I'm talking about, man training the preachers.Man always have a word for you.

Let's see, it goes like this: (Since folks love a good story I'll share this one.)

We were sitting over on the side of the sanctuary. You had an evangelist visiting you on an off night for him. It was your intent to bless him without him knowing it. At an opportune moment you slipped me a $100 bill and pointed to a Bible laying on the chairs where we were sitting. You then asked me to find a good time to stealthily slip the $100 bill into the evangelist's Bible. I did so. Nobody was any the wiser and service went on. You called me later to tell me that unknown to you that WAS NOT the evangelist's Bible but someone elses.

The reasons you stated in the other post that was brought over here from another thread and then those on here.. that you have no pastor and that you havent found a church that teaches truth or teaches this or that right... well maybe No... not maybe.. dude the problem is YOU... YOU need to learn to submit to God and to whom he puts in authority and until you do you arent gonna find a single place you fit in...Thus you will not find a place you can be used in the capacity that you feel God should use you.
