No sir I don't think he has been here long. He just posts a lot. And says very little.

Actually he's kind of talented. I mean, who else can fit four paragraphs into one run on sentence?

You are so carnal and the reason you criticize the way He posted is because you have never really heard from the Holy Ghost and do not realize that this is the way that they Holy Ghost speaks with out pauses or punctuation so you need to pray through and throw away all those pre-prepared sermon notes and start listening to the Holy Ghost and get some real anointing and then you will be a real preacher and start preaching just like he typed.

Maybe that's why he doesn't have notes, he doesn't know how to hit a carriage return.

Can you imagine preaching from notes without bullets? Five hundred words in one single spaced long paragraph.

I think most of the time he doesn't post in threads where people actually respond to what he is posting. He's more used to posting on his own forum, where he posts whatever he wants with no interaction or response from anyone else. When he got the response that he did here, it was too much for him and he didn't know how to handle it.

*Hears Bro. Phil take in a great gasp of air before his continues. As we know, that is one of the true signs of annointing*

From the Evangelist Viewpoint

As an evangelist since 92 i will hardly ever call a pastor unless we are friends or he sends word.
If i do cold call....maybe twice in the last 10 years....then i hope i get the voice mail so i can say my thing and then leave the pastor to check schedule and me out then call me back. If they dont call me back i dont take it personal. I assume its not the right time. I have never begged or bugged a pastor.
.
I cold called a pastor about 8-9 years ago. The man that told me to call informed me that the church was really small and that i would be a blessing and he would love to have me.
I was put thru an incredibly embarrassing grilling process and then was told that he would have to hear me in person before he would have me. I hung up very frustrated. I could have name dropped after all i had just did a service for his General Superintendent and stayed in his home and was sure that this pastor and i had a lot of mutual friends and after all he was just a tiny church so why would he say no. I now believe that particular phone conversation really helped me.

Regardless of the size of church, pastors have a responsibility to bring in people that first of all will do no harm and second of all will be beneficial whether they have 10 or 1000 people and hopefully i have learned that whether i am in a church of 1000 or a church of 15(like i was sunday nite) that i owe it to the pastor and God to give my best.

On the flip side, I get calls and emails from pastors and churches i dont know and i try to check the church and pastor out before i will commit. I usually try to find out how they heard about me
so it can go both ways.

At the risk of sounding greedy, I only have about 50 weeks a year and since this is all i do i have to make my weeks count( we like to eat) I have never priced myself and overall i have never regretted it as some churches go way beyond expectations but on the other hand....ouch. So the screening process as well as my return policy has to be at least partially correlated to the finances.

I once got paid with 2 chickens.....Went back to the pastor and said "could i trade one of these chickens back for a pot to cook it in?"

My first post here on AFF. God Bless
