Anyone who has pastored any length of time could tell plenty of stories about being mistreated and "abused."

You don't see us doing it though. I would never in a million years air things done by saints to me and my family on the internet.

I can't imagine doing that.

Anyone ever stop to ponder why pastors don't do it?

Coon, you ought to start that a site for abused pastors - maybe call it "saintsabuse.com
seriously though, being raised in a Pastor's home, the average saint will never have any idea -I suppose it's part of the cross to bear

Maybe you should think about impressions then...when you start a dating thread, it seems like maybe you're single. I thought the same thing, until I read your post last night...and I'm not a dumb brunette.

I have a policy that can be summed up in five words from the Scripture--"Tell it not in Gath."

Because your living is earned by having to deal with saints.

Many times it is pastor's who work and draw very little from the church for a salary.

They are the men that feel they have the right to do what they want...

I know pastors talk to other pastors and evangelist of their issues with saints.

Many times the saint has not outlet to share their hurts....

I know and understand that there is major abuse in some situations, but there is major abuse in any organization or denomination. People are people, some good and some bad. If you choose to leave a group (like we did), I think you should just leave and not rehash all the things you think are evil about it. What is the point of "exposing" things ten years down the road? Sorry, but I just think this is wrong.

Like I've said many times, the UPC brought me to Jesus. If it were not for my heritage, I might not have the privilege of knowing Him. Were there things that were wrong? Sure! Do we do everything correctly now? NOOOOOOOOO! We are all still learning.

Just my thoughts for the day!
Lois is a great lady and has helped many of us that have come out of abusive churches...there are several people that post here, who post there also....she does not bash the upc she gives information and support...she is very much maligned by starch con's in upc, and had been bashed, and judged very harshly by the FCF, and NFCF...Lois has posted here in support of me and others....She is a courageous warrior in my opinion!

For the life of me, I can't see what good that forum does. It's actually rather offensive to those of us who have been in and loved the UPCI for all these years.
It is your option to go there ........... you will not be offened if you don't go there, the thing is why would you be offened by truth?
