Nakhoe,
I don't see where there was anything ugly in my post either, and holding earnestly to the message of JESUS' name baptism to the exclusions of all the other lies that are out there is not poison, if you believe it is poison perhaps you should rethink your being apart of the Apostolic faith.

I stood for Jesus name Baptism in the midst of a trinity Church......for My Children, God and truth.
You and I both agree for standing for that.

It is none of my business your personal reasons why you go to the church you go to...however as your friend I will pray that God lead you in all things and please always say a prayer for us in Brazil. Thanks.

Thank you Sis. Alvear your words are always kind.

If I could baptize my children and grandchildren in Jesus Name, I would do it. Cooper, I think what you did was wonderful.

I'm not at all concerned !
Also, as for people willfully walking in disobedience. I was formerly AG, and they rejected me when I went to the UPC. I was not at all harsh or calloused or anything with trinitarians, I in fact wanted "fellowship" with them, but they cut me off. MY "spiritual father" was especially mad when I got rebaptized in JESUS' name, when I call him there's always the question "So, are you still apart of the Oneness Pentecostal church?" And he says "Oneness" with such disdain.
Also, my Free Methodist grandparents, who's church I was in before going to the AG, won't have anything to do with JESUS' name baptism. And they knew of the "Jesus Solo" Pentecostals before me and they rejected JESUS' name baptism then and they reject it now that two of their grandkids are "Jesus Solo's".
And Cooper, you stood for something? I'm not even going to keep debating it because it falls on deaf ears.
GOD BLESS!

Yeah, AoG isn't too kindly towards OP. But, have you noticed it's *more* from OP to AoG? At least, everywhere I've been to church it is. I don't know any AoG who sit around discussing how all us OPs are going to hell if we don't see things exactly eye to eye with them. See, I think OPs are wrong on a few big points too. I still won't say y'all are going to hell, cuz I don't believe they are any more than anyone else who's seeking God and desiring a closer relationship with Him.
I'm kind of in the same place Cooper is right now. I'm attending a few different churches, none of which I agree with, trying to find a home. But, since I don't agree with any of them enough to call them home, I'm stuck with this until I move. Now, I actually am planning a move, so hopefully that'll all be dealt with after I move (I actually have a church in mind where I'm moving to). If I wasn't planning a move, I'd end up sitting in a church I have some issues with just to have a home. Life goes on. And yes, I'd still take a stand for what I believe to be true, even if attending a church that doesn't line up completely with where I am. What I believe isn't going to change just because of where I go to church. I'd rather have to teach my kids some minor doctrinal things than deal with countering judgment and hatefulness from the pulpit. Much easier to say "I believe this, because of this, they believe that, because of that" than it is to work hate and attitude poison out of impressionable kids.

Too bad your not in Southern Maine, there's a church there that'd be great for you. Most people there are a bit more friendlier than I am...
Also, about AoG, they taught about OP's in their "Cult Series" for the adult Sunday school class, that I went to while AG. But either way, I don't care what they're saying, they're not Christians anyway.
GOD BLESS!

Oh? Tell me about that church please. Always interested in knowing where there's more good churches.
Yes, I know AoG and OPs have a rich history. /tic Since I'm aware what it is, I have no hard feelings on either side.
Do you see what you just said in that paragraph? "They say OP isn't Christian, but that doesn't matter cuz they aren't anyhow." I wish I could know, I really do. But I can't. Sitting in an OP church doesn't send a person to heaven any more than sitting in an AoG (or other trinitarian) church sends them to hell. It's about things that I can't judge, I can't know, I can't see. Only God can. The only thing I can do is seek Him with my entire being and encourage those around me to do the same.

Good for you, Coop.
Glad to hear that your kids have made a commitment to Jesus and have sealed that commitment with water baptism.
