Well...I do. I think it's important to understand what the man meant. Especially if we're going to drag him through the mud and back. If America by and large didn't care about the death of so many innocents...that's a serious moral issue. And yes...while the President most likely lost sleep over the possible politically ramifications....if the people didn't care...dude...that's a problem a preacher should care about.
did you not read what I wrote???? Chris the American people were deeply impacted by the implication.
I remember very well my grandfather talking about it.
Jerimiah Wright was wrong on either count. by a long shot. and you are still acting like a defense attorney defending a rapist by accusing the victem!

Not everything "conservative" is good Ferd. Likewise not everything liberal is evil.
Truth vs. Deception Ferd. Truth vs. Deception.

Well, maybe I am becoming a softie in my old age (I am turning 41 this year, ya know), but, after thinking about it during this conversation, it seems to have been overkill in the worst way possible. I don't pretend to be an expert on WWII, and I know that the Japanese were a fierce enemy when they were our enemies, but the idea that my government was willing to kill so many innocent people, rather than continuing to fight that war with conventional weapons, just doesn't sit right with me.
doesnt make it any more plausible to my heart, but i felt they did what they had to do in the best interests of our country at the time, hey during the war, they literally had to go out and shoot all the japaneese that were not dead, because they would not stop fighting, read about guadacanal and tarawa, saipan, the phillipines, the japanees at that time didnt care about others let alone themselves, dt

Jesus was a pacifist. So was Stephen. Can you provide ONE example of a Christian using violent resistance or lethal force against an enemy in the New Testament? If not...be advised...it's better to stand pure before God than appear patriotic before men.

You know Ferd after all, God never did any retribution of his own. It's not like fire and brimstone from heaven caused any difficulty for anyone in the bible.
God will fight our (read the believer's) battles. Leave this world to fight it's wars. Separation. It's more than a dress code.

Yeah. I've watched some programs on the History Channel that specifically dealt with the mindset of the Japanese soldiers. They were true warriors.
Yes. God removed his hand of protection, just as he did Judah.
No. I agree with the Bible. GOD used the Babylonians to bring Judah to her knees over a multitude of sins. God will use Islam to do the same to America. Jeremiah of the Old Testament stood against those singing "God bless Judah! We shall have victory!" Jeremiah went as far as to advocate that Judah surrender and save herself the destruction God would visit upon them through the Babylonians...of course...he was deemed unpatriotic from that day forward.
But Jeremiah was right.
If God uses Islam to bring America to her knees, why is it so hard to believe that God would use America to bring Islam to its knees?

Rico, we killed more non-combatants in Germany during the course of the war with conventional bombs. does that put this in any differnt context?
