Look Chris you are the one that said "look it up" I did and proved that he:
A) Did not cover his heart during the National Anthem
B) Decided not to wear his American flag pin.
You are side tracking the point even further with your
The original point was that of the effects of hearing liberation theology for 20years--I think his actions have something to do with it. You are railroading the topic by making it personal.
Well...it isn't disrespectful to me and the multipled hundreds or thousands that stand an eat popcorn during the anthem at baseball games.
Dude...you're scraping the bottom to slander a man. Look at yourself.

I'm still waiting on you to tell us the answer and to which sermon you are referring to, and in what way it takes away from things said in his sermon that were detrimental.

Not a different God...a different covenant. God dealth with a nation in the OT. Today God is dealing with individuals as part of his salvation plan. Nations are going to unite and become the greatest threat to God's people. That's why we do well not to get involved in their conflicts and power struggles.
The hermanutic is that unless the writer of the new covenant changes it or it is fulfilled the provision continues from the old. That is why so much of the case law is found quoted in the NT as normative.

Ferd, don't insult me. I haven't insulted you. Just because you have an opinion on something doesn't make your opinion right. I generally don't come to CH's defense, but he is making some good points. He is at least trying to put these events in some sort of Biblical context, which is a whole lot more than I can say for the rest of us.
Rev. Wright's words are Biblical in some way??
Perhaps I missed something.......
