what is his point? he is kind of all over the board. i havent been able to figure anything beyond, his willingness to defend anything to get Obama elected.
The point he is trying to make is that the point JW was trying to make in his sermon is that the USA isn't an innocent victim in what happened on 9/11. We have done more than our fair share of bombing other countries and killing innocent people to sit back and pretend that we haven't contributed to the hatred our enemies have for us. We operate under this notion that everyone else in the world wants to be like we are, so we make a point of trying to bring democracy and our way of life to the rest of the world, by force if need be. Get it now?
Please note, according to Chirs America was out of bounds in fighting the Germans during World War 2. our actions to beat back Hitler were in Chris's words "Abominable"
No. War is abominable. I believe a Christian does well not to participate but rather to be an agent of peace and prayer. Again you're twisting my beliefs and motives. Ferd....you have no idea do you?

Didn't you just say you were in the military? So, only be in the military in times of peace?
Of course war is horrific. But it is sometimes undeniably necessary, for various reasons. I had an uncle killed in WWII. A second one died after he came home from complications from an injury. A cousin committed suicide after years of dealing with mental problems left over from combat. I have a nephew graduating in a week from military academy. Despite the tragic losses, I admire all of them for their sacrifice, and I do not believe any of it was in vain or that they participated in terrorism.

Different covenant. God was preserving his covenant nation, Israel. Today God's covenant people are a church. And we are called to a higher standard of separation than Israel. And we are spiritual kingdom...not an earthly nation.
Well, let's throw out the OT then!!!

Since bestiality is not mentioned in the NT is it not still a sin?
