Unfortunately, O'Reilly will continue to annoy America on FOX no matter who wins.
I honestly dont know what you are watching. I have listend to O'Reilly a few times on the radio, I have watched parts of his show during comercial breaks when I was flipping the channel. And a handfull of times, I have seen his show all the way thru just to see what he had to say.

I know this much about O'Reilly. He is NOT a conservitive. he is against the death penalty, says that Clinton was on the whole, a good president with the exectption of what he did to the popular culture.
was against the war in Iraq but says now we have to be there to finish. He was never for all the Bush tax cuts.

the only thing he falls in line with conservitives is his stance against secular progressivism because it leads to a coursing of society.

Where do you get these things from? Bill O'Reilys real issue is he keeps saying stuff like "I was the first to talk about this..." which really makes me crazy.

Im a conservitve. listening to him, i agree about 50% of the time.

I also think you are wrong on both O'Reily and Oberman. I think they will both be just fine if Obama or Mccain get elected. these guys play to a niche crowd that will exist no matter what.

Re: FOX Lies!! Barack Obama Pastor Wright

No real conservative can support the death penalty. In the United States estimates show that we have wrongfully executed 23 people this century. Each year nearly 4.5 people are wrongfully convicted of capital offenses. And over 100 people have been released since 1972 as a result of being wrongly convicted.

Our system is broken and I don't see how a conservative can back a broken government system that has wrongfully executed it's citizens.

Nor can I see a Christian flipping the switch and frying a person. This is another example of the phony mold the modern conservative movement has conditioned weak minded Christians to accept upon themselves.

The death penalty also isn't a deterrent of crime. America is one of the last Westernized nations to continue executions. And we still have one of the highest crime and violence rates in the Western world. European countries that have banned the death penalty see far less violent crime than we do. The value of life has to be exemplified from the court house down. Then society will begin moving toward a more humane rhythm.

I don't believe it's a deterrent. Most who have gotten to the point of being willing to commit murder would rather be executed or die in a shootout with police before being incarcerated for the rest of their lives in a prison cell while having their every move supervised and ordered for them.

Also the cost of the capital punishment system is higher than incarceration. When we factor in the cost of fighting for the death penalty and all the appeals involved it's far more expensive for the tax payer than putting them in a cell and giving them 3 squares a day for the rest of their lives.

Now, is it warranted in some cases? Perhaps. However, when we consider how the system we have has wrongfully executed the wrongfully convicted we have to error on the side of justice. How can a Christian embrace a system that has and will wrongfully execute another human being?
