Re: Falla39-
This is a great thread honoring Falla39. She is perhaps the most Godly woman I know.
I feel highly blessed to share a couple of grandsons with her.
Luv ya, LADY!

Re: Falla39-
Sis Falla doesn't deserve all this honor.
She isn't worthy of all these kind words.
At least, thats what SHE would say. But...we know better....
There are many sisters on this forum that deserves more honor than they are given. Sisters who do much more for God's Kingdom that they are recognized for. There's...
Sis Alvear... right now, somehere in a teeming hot South American city or jungle hut... serving, caring, giving, helping and just doing. Doing what 1) us men should be doing and 2) doing what alot of men criticize her for). But still doing...and helping... and caring....
Barb- What can I say? Who doesn't appreciate a sister who speaks what she feels... and speaks what we need to feel? A sister that can brighten a day quicker than the noon day sun. A sister whose writings have stirred many hearts ... including the hearts of some men who would never admit it.
Pressin on. Rambunctious (Did I spell that right?). Not afraid to jump into the fray. Wouldn't back down from a Texas rattlesnake. But... a heart that loves Gods people. A heart that breaks easily for those in need of prayer. And a heart that is spelled "C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N"
Inmyeyes- Now this ones different. Sees herself as she thinks others see her. Lost, a castaway. But, in truth... knows more about Jesus than I do. No... knows Jesus more than I do. Changing... transitioning.... finding her place in HIm. Not in a religion about Him... but in Christ. Ignorant and unlearned? Perhaps in her own eyes... but I percieve she has been with Jesus.
Sherri- almost sound like Cheery, doen't it? Well, thats by design. Because thats because she is. Even when she's as mad as a Tennessee tornado, there is a silver lining that reveals a cheerifulness. I've seen it before. Even in the most heated conversations of this forum, Sherri makes an appearance and good cheer appears. A credit to this forum, to her husband, to her church and to this forum.
Renda- The dreaded AFF aunt that shows up just when we started a good pillow fight and makes us behave. Oh, she doesn't fuss at us- or make us behave- but something about her just wants us to behave. One who, I suspect, has asked hereself, "Why do I put up with all the AFF fussin and feudin?" on more than one occasion. But, she already knows the answer. Its because she cares about people, and has shown it so many times. And she believes, as I do, that AFF folks are worth the hassle.
Margie- not your typical "OneGod, Apostolic, Holiness" sister. Not even sure she is a "OneGod, Apostolic, Holiness" sister. But, probably a lot more "OneGod, Apostolic, Holiness" than some... cause she appears to me to have the type of spirit I need to work on... "a truly Christian spirit".
Cheesestix- Whatever, you know, Texas Granny. Granny, my foot. Your posts, your humor, your "Ya'll just behave!" belies the young at heart. If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet you are a practical joker. Maybe not... but you laugh and have an incedible way of making others laugh and think at the same time. I'm reminded of a stand-up comic who says something serious in a funny sort of way. Truth delievered with humor. A concept Bill Cosby made famous. A rare talent you are, sister.
Well, I done went and done it. I started a list. I hate lists, because I want to include everyone (no favorites, you know). These aren't my favorites. Just a few of my favorites. However the clock on the wall, and the groweling of my belly, tells me I need to get busy doing other stuff. But, with this post, this thread has evolved (as most threads do). This is now an impromtu (don't ask me how to spell it, first time I ever used it!), Mothers Day thread. So to all sisters, grandmothers, mothers, wanna be mothers, gonna be mothers, Happy Mothers Day to you. May those about you, and many on this forum, help you to know just how special you really are.
I leave you all with this world renowned quote:
"Sisters are not honored for what the do, but for who they are"
You know who said that? Me. Just now. No, its not world renowned. But it should be.
Alright men, man up. Some of you tell us what you think about the AFF Sisters. (Remember, Fathers Day is coming up... the sisters will have to say nice things about us!)

Re: Falla39-
Quickly, I will add a sister. I didn't forget, just...well... I forgot.
Heavenly One- Remember the line from the movie JFK? Something like "a mystery, wrapped in an enigma"? I think of that phrase when I think of Heavenly One. Tough as nails, a real go getter. But full of compassion. One that will go to any length to help. Don't mess with her though. Shes says it, she means it, just let it go. But I can remember not so long ago she sat (in the figurative sense) with a brother who had lost the reason to want to go on. She helped him to know there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if he couldn't see it. (He still can't see it, but he knows its there, 'cause
HO1 said so.) I am grateful that I had one as tough as nails on my side then. And I am grateful now.
What about men...? Don't forget, Fathers Day is comin' up... I mean Mothers day is coming up.

Bro. OneAccord,
Thank you and it is the sharing in the "cup of blessing which we bless"
that brings the blessedness of it! "It is more blessed to give than to receive".
Thank you for giving our other sisters on this forum honor which is due. I
am sure there is many more than could be named but they are appreciated
too.
Blessings,
Falla39

Re: Falla39-
Thank you Sis. Nancy, for being the beautiful person you are. Thank you for allowing God to have His way in your life.
Your moon like qualities are wonderful to see. In the dark when others have difficulty seeing and understanding, your reflexion of the Son helps light our way.

Re: Falla39-
Sis. Falla39 is one of the sweetest, nicest, most concerned, most consistent women I have ever known on the internet or anywhere. She is the best!
Love ya, Sis. Thanks for all your prayers.

Re: Falla39-
I kept starting to add something on this thread the last couple of days but I would tear up - and since I was posting at work, that's not good. Gotta be a "tough guy" at work! But I'm home now... and I really don't know how to express my appreciation for Sis. Falla39's kindness and warmth.
I really do appreciate you. The little messages and notes that you've shared have helped me tremendously and bring me healing and strength.
And since you're only 39 years old now, imagine the wisdom that is to come as you grow older in the many years ahead!

Bro.Pelathais,
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is appreciated so much!
To be honest with you, Brother, I am happier now at 68 yrs. old
than when I was 39 yrs. I was born in the fall (Sept.) of 1939, hence
the Falla39.
The handsome man with the white hair in the avatar and
I will be married 50 yrs. July 09. We are more in love now than when
we began. We are SO blessed! Thanks to our Wonderful Lord and God!
We also enjoy the love and respect of six adult children and their original
spouses, and 20 loving grandchildren, ranging from ages six weeks to
24 yrs. The 24 yr. old is the only grandchild that is married. He has been
married 4 yrs and is our only hope for a great-grandchild anyway soon.
To God be the glory for great things He has and will continue to do,
in Jesus Name!
Blessings,
Falla39
