As we gather-

As we gather in out respective places of worship today, my prayer is that God's Presence will be there in a special way. May the spirit of worship permeate your services today. May His Word take on new life and speak to you in a clear and powerful way. May the nearness of His Spirit bring us to our knees. May the lost, the cold, the indifferent hear His call, and draw nigh unto Him. May the ministers be blessed with a special annointing- may their words be His Words. May the singers and musicians sing and play skilfully- may their songs and music reach the heavens- and may worship be the focal point of todays services. Above all- I pray that somehow, someway, God will show Himself strong to us today. A healing (or many healings). A sinner... no a group of sinners, saved. A back slider... someone you have been praying for...may they find restoration and healing. May today be a special day of worship for all. In Jesus' Name.

If, for whatever reason, you don't attend services today, I pray that sometime today you will spend some time with the Lord. In prayer, Bible Study or even on this forum. And, reports: Use this thread to tell how the Lord answered this simple brothers prayer....

Great LORD GOD,

May it be so, in Jesus Name!

Re: As we gather-

This morning has been a good morning. I prayed early this morning that God would be present as we gathered to worship Him. Whether we could attend church or not, I prayed that He will be present with us today in whatever we did. Afterwards, I went to the cemetary, per my Sunday morning rountine, and spent a little quiet time with Lola. I was thinking how, 13 years ago the Lord had restored so much that the devil had taken from me. He has bllessed me beyond measure since then, and I am eternally grateful for where the Lord brought me from, and where I am today.

I then vsited East Brow Community Chrurch. Heard some good singing. One song really brought the tears to flowing. "Lord, I'm not worthy to come to you, please, come down to me". Wow. Tears streamed down my face as it seems every word was directed to me personally. (This must have been something new there... some people didn't quite know what to make of a grown man crying like a baby.) The preacher preached "How to recover that which has been taken". (1 Sam. 30) Again, he might as well said- "Rick, I am preaching to you".

God was there. No, its not the kind of church I want to be a part of... I don't share some of their views, but... the Lord was there. And I felt the Lord's touch. I heard this song on the way to church:

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender.
They're leading me, in paths that I must cross.
I have no fear, for Jesus walks beside me,
And I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

So let the storms break out, the dark clouds rise,
they don't worry me, for I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God.
He walks with me, and not of earth can harm me,
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

I don't know what... and I sure don't know why... but God is certainly doing somethin' for this old boy....

Re: As we gather-

We did the 9 AM service in Jackson, drove to Henderson for the 11 AM, grabbed some lunch, and soon we will head to Cordova for the 5 PM service. It's a crazy day, but God is good!! This is the first time we have shown a video of Eddie preaching in the main service in Jackson at 11:00. We didn't know how it would go over, but it was fine and the people responded well. This is such a media-oriented society now. So we had three video venues going today at 11.

Keep us informed....

I heard once that "The Beast" would spread his message via video.... Does Eddie have any beastly attributes?

Well, he appears to be a grizzly bear, but he's really just a big ol' teddy bear. So I think we're all safe.
