It's not about bashing the UPC. It's about asking the questions of why the UPC is here? What is it's Scriptural authority? and if the Church should be divided by denominations?
GOD BLESS!
Bro. Alex
IMO, the church should not be seperated. It is done this way for fellowship at least that was the idea. Sure there are people in the UPC that fight one another cause they do not agree, but they are part of what was suppose to be a fellowship. If there were no fellowship/organization then might be tougher to continue steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine because you have people that call the UPC unsaved cause the see them as being too liberal. Keep in mind I am not a huge UPC guy though I am in it. The only scriptural authority the UPC has is in the name of Jesus, but anyone can have that.

The name of JESUS didn't give the sons of Sceva any authority.

It's about thread hijacking which you obviously are too young or ill mannered to understand.
Why not start one on Why is the UPC here?
Never mind you seem to have accomplished your agenda here.
Just one more thing to be embarrassed over when you are older and it finally sinks in.

It is how it is used Sept. You can use it and have no power behind it. You asked what gives UPC authority. The authority come in the name of Jesus and the power comes from the HG. It is simple. You are speaking out of both sides of your mouth. You say you care for the people in the UPC but you detest the UPC. Dude the UPC are the people in it. The UPC headquarters and rules you might detest, but to detest the UPC is to also detest the people there in.

It's the organizational/denominational structure that is wrong. I love Bro. Haney, although I don't see his office as Gen. Supt. as Biblical.

True that orgs are not Biblcal, but so are many other things that the OP church teach. Some are choice like personal things some are doctrines like corporate clothing standards, tithing, etc. I believe in these things are power in some peoples lives, that I can say. But this Org was founded to be a fellowship. No fellowship can stay just a fellowship as it grows. There always has to be some set of rules, per se. Some are totally heaven and hell like in the UPC and some are not like in Global Network. Should we have fellowships, yes. Should we have Orgs, maybe not, but everyone that is a member subject themselves to the authority of that movement.

This was not a commandment, it was the choice of those joining the church in the book of Acts. If you'll read one of my previous posts, you'll see how we hold all things in common in the assembly I attend.
But it was commanded for Titus to appoint elders in every city.

LOL! Again, no scriptural support. Show me where such a thing was a choice.

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. Acts 5:1-4 (KJV)

He doesn't detest the UPC, he said that God does. Of course, he didn't cite scripture for that claim.
