Oh that reminds me. I am having the hardest time at night trying to keep from running over little cottontail rabbits in our driveway at night. And squirrels during the day. They just love our garden and I think the squirrels are attracted by our big oak tree. Wonder if St. Bernards are good hunting dogs?

Actually, I think Alex and I are doing something unusual for many around here.
We are having a pleasant conversation. We aren't throwing names at each other, insulting one another, and such like. In fact, I've agreed with many posts he's written already but I challenge him on other things. It's good to be challenged. Doesn't mean I'm right, doesn't mean he's wrong. I just want him to search out scriptures for what they are really saying and not what someone else has told him.
He wants to pastor someday. He will run into people who will challenge him more than I am, I promise you.
Alex, thanks for being a good sport on this thread. I've been hard on you, but not because I'm trying to prove how youthful and stupid you are. I have a son not much younger than you who will be preaching a message to his church this next Wednesday. I'd hate for someone to bully him, thinking he's young and dumb, but I do want someone to challenge him to study and not just think the Bible says something because the pastor or elder told him it does.
My son has 2 hound dog puppies but they don't seem to get it yet. They are rather lazy but love getting in to the trash.

Maybe we're at a deadlock. H1, something in me thinks you even agree with the plural eldership idea, but you want to challenge my thinking so I don't take it for granted. Whether you do or don't, if you believe in One God, Acts 2:38 salvation and holy living, then we're brothers and sisters in Christ, and I appreciate how iron sharpens iron!
