This probably isn't a whole lot of help, but they have her songs for sale at AmericanIdol.com...you can click on 'preview' to hear a tidbit of the songs.

Yes, I fully understand. You're too young girl, but there are many great songs she could have sung.
And going by the theme which was the 'British Invasion', Melinda didn't even sing a song from that time period or theme. She sang a song from the musical Oliver!
I just think LaKisha made a bad choice...

Well, I wish I could say I don't remember the sixties, but I'm afraid I do. I used to be at the city pool and hear "Sherri Baby" over the loudspeakers and was just real proud to be there when they played my song!! I remember several others, but for some reason, that one is my favorite.

LOL!! For some reason...
I always said the Beach Boys recorded that song for me... Barbara Anne...
I was a big fan of the British Invasion music...the calmer side. I didn't do the Stones or Kinks, but loved The DC5, Peter and Gordon, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, Chad and Jeremy, Billy J. Kramer, Matt Monro, Pet Clark, Dusty, Marrianne Faithful, Jackie DeShannon, Cilla Black, and of course the 'Boys'...ahhh the memories...
