Guess he didn't factor conviction into his assessment because it has been much longer than 2 years, and I still don't celebrate Christmas. I've been down that road of separating compliance from conviction on pretty much everything I believe, and boy am I glad!

Wrong premise. He equated it with backsliding -which it isn't (other then on a personal conviction level of course).
If this had ever been my pastor I probably would have sent him these pictures on a Christmas postcard -after about two years if course, so he could "brag" to the congregation about having prophesied about it.
From the card:
Our house!
Our tree!

Anyone who left that church without the pastor's blessing was backsliding.

Re: Your experience when you dropped "dress standa
We had a couple of churches here in CA. that didn't allow
their members to celebate Christmas. In fact, the members
were not allowed to wear RED in the month of December
so not to partake of the pagans celebrations

Regarding the avatar in question by Oneness Woman that was found to be offensive by some, my thoughts, not that they matter to anyone but me, are that it still is a cultural thing.
IMO, people that are exposed to more "exposure" do not equate it as immodest, just as what is acceptable. Those of us who are used to less exposure find it harder to "not notice".

Not notice what, the bustline of a cartoon? May as well just say it, 'cause we all know that's what the complaints were over. I could not believe it was even an issue. A cartoon?!?!?!?!?! Good grief!

Well save yourself the aggravation. PP just posted what a lot of people were probably thinking, just not like you do. Think I mean. So no biggie.

Sister, I don't have much patience for uptight people who see something dirty in things that aren't dirty. It speaks volumes to me about how perverted people's minds really are, especially in the Church. Anyone who even remotely saw something sexual in that avatar needs to go pray that God would clean the perversion clean out of their minds. If admin wants to ban me for saying that, then it's fine with me. Purity isn't about controlling the things you see. It's about controlling how you react to the things you see.

This is how people who are ONLY around others who dress from ear to toe can suddenly get 'excited' when exposed to a bare ankle or lower leg!
