Thanks to all for the wisdom and spirit behind your posts, this is something they don't teach in Seminary.

To warrant this kind of precautionary actions, the situation has to be very serious. I am convinced that Keith is handling this in the best way possible for all involved, including the man who has threatened the violence. He's arranged an "out" for the man. All he has to do is stay away and nothing will be done to him. Can't ask for much more than that. It sounds like he's tried reaching out to him already in love many times and the love of God has been rejected. Now Keith's job is to protect his family and his church family.

I'll be praying here. There's not much more than any of us can do from the distances that we all live. But I know that God answers prayer. So I believe we are doing more than enough. The key is for us to faithful in our prayers for Keith and Jeannie and family.

Wonder how this worked out for the pastor in TX that lost a few members when the guy showed up in his church with a gun and killed them while they sat in church.

Surely, you aren't suggesting to do nothing.

I was at an inner city church in Los Angeles recently
and they had security gaurds all over the place. I
was actually thankfully LOL it was sort of scarey.

BUT do you all remember the church that Ted Haggard
use to pastor? It was less then a year ago that a man
showed up and shot 5-7 people. I think some of them
died.

would you hire security ?
