Re: Do u allow Running,Shouting,Dancing in your ch

I feel the Joy of the Lord falling fresh on me
The Joy of the Lord delivering me
I fell the joy of the Holy Ghost all over me

I have been loosed, I've been set free
pardon me a moment while I have a jubilee
I feel the joy of the Holy Ghost all over me

I can't hardly type that without getting up!

Gotta have balance - a balance of shouting, dancing, praise, and worship. That's what makes Pentecostal churches so exciting. You never know if the Spirit will hit you and you are lost in a shouting dance or doubled over weeping. The main thing is sincerity.

Concerning musicians - yeah, they gotta get out and do a dance every now and then. Did you all notice St. Mark leaping in that video and doing the sideways jerk?

Our church encourages demonstrative worship. If we didn’t have it, I would search for a black church to attend… I refuse to attend a quiet church. I realize some things in our worship is tradition, but totally believe that when the Spirit moves upon people there will be a reaction… you might cry and be more quiet…or be more exuberant, but there should be some type of reaction or you are just plain dead. I have had some awesome experiences in worship.

I feel much is accomplished in praise and a joyful noise makes God happy. He made us emotional people, so I find no problem worshipping him with my emotions that is demonstrated in clapping, dancing, shouting, and leaping… I have been totally overcome with the Spirit of God that I couldn’t speak a bit of English for hours into days…and I wouldn’t take anything for the JOY that accompanies those times.

I haven't read this entire thread, but exuberant worship is not in some folks personality. Since we tend to use this as a measure of spirituality, some will go outside of their personality to fit in. Some won't, and will be judged as less spiritual.

I love to see people happy and rejoicing in the Lord. I do think that it can get where it is a facade to mask hidden sins.

Herein is the balance to Demand everyoneto be as demostrative as I then the balance would be myself instead of scripture, while on the other hand folks who are less demonstrative see those of us who are as being in a frency. Neither is the proof of spirituality. However I have always noticed when they rejoice they are worshipping but sit in judgment when others do they same.

You are so right! I am a quiet person by nature and I can't tell you how many times I have felt less spiritual than everyone else that was screaming, jumping, running, etc.
