family is doing well. Jack is getting bigger. he is still having brady's (that means his heart rate drops too low. ) he cant come home for 7 days after having a brady..... which means the clock keeps resetting.
that isnt that big of a deal right now because there are other things he has to do before he has to come home, but this is the most unsetteling. Not really life threatening but unsetteling none the less....

and yea, my spelling is terrible.
It can be so frustrating...Jeffrey was in the hospital for nearly a month. He had the same thing going on with the bradys, and then he would be "tachypnic" (sp?), and we were SO anxious to have him home with us, but at the same time, I did NOT want him to come home, away from all the medical support if he wasn't totally in the clear.

yea thats exactly how I feel. I hate walking out of that hospital without him but I know its for the best. Its just a long process and it takes a lot out of you.

Ron I think everyone has an area in their life where they have to becareful of pride rising up.
For me when I was an Assistant Vice President of a bank in Houston, Texas, I had a lot of pride about that. I never thought to ever achieve such a position. That tended to be my stumbling block, not wearing jewelry or fine clothes, I guess I never had a rock that big.
Anyway, I understand where you are coming from and at one time felt the same as you. But after I begin to study and I had to separate tradition from Bible. And in this case, as I stated before their is bible for both beliefs. Therefore, it is paramount that you search your own heart and what is your motive.
As soon one mentioned earlier back in the day, more of the oldtimers didn't have the money for jewlry, so it was a mute point. But now we have educated folks that can read and study for themselves, making enough money to buy the jewlry, fine clothes, fine homes, and some even can afford nice toys like boats, and etc.
But no matter what you can afford financially, what can you afford spiritually?
What is YOUR stumbling block?

Girl, I know that ain't right. We've had our share of financial strain and I was living as right as I could live. But, I get your point. It's like the - "Oh, what did they do or what are they doing that caused this in their life?" lol
Oh yes, it was a tv evangelist. And he was wearing an obvious hair piece, I thought with all the money you have and you can't get some real hair, or at least a wig that is not so obvious.

funniest thing happened with me... in all my liberal ways, I can't wear too much adornment... I get a feeling that I have come to know as conviction. I believe we are to follow the leading of the Holy Ghost and if he deals with you, then listen.
I am not against Jewelry and if I were married, I would wear a ring and preferrably w/diamond. I found I hated the feeling of a bracelet ... can't hardly wear a watch... they drive me crazy... so this sure isn't hard for me to follow the standard. Can't hardly tolerate the hair issue....but wouldn't care if I ever put on a peice of jewelry again in my life... interesting on how that stuff works... we are all different and have different walks with God.
With me, adornment goes further than just jewelry, but to anything that brings attention.. it is the pride that goes with it. I only found this by trial and error as it should be... but could never place my convictions on others.
Ex 33:1-6
And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

All this fussing and the man just quoted the passage!!!!!!!!!!!!
"But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians."
