Re: Hilarious Apostolic Editing!!
LOL!
Reminds me of a couple of Sundays ago when our Pastor said, "I was watching Fox News the other day....looong pause......on the internet...." You could hear the gasps throughout the audience.
(Guess I just opened another can of worms, huh?)
I attend one of those "no T.V's internet is ok" churches.

Subject: U. S. "no longer a Christian Nation"
Dear Friends,
As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. . ."we are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, . . .

That was funny! Maybe, the person covered the tube with a towel or blanket and just listened to the news?

Re: Hilarious Apostolic Editing!!
Wait for it...LOL! yay me! I finally got it. Had to read a few times. I bet they really were horrified when they discovered they sent it without changing "watched" to "listened" LOL! LaGirl's mom told me once that back in the 60's when it was really preached against, she used to drag her big heavy TV into the back bedroom when the pastor was coming over! now it's not even preached against at our church.
One of our older saints used to sit for my hubby's g'ma and we were all in the living room one day with the TV on and "The Bachelor" came on. I cringed b/c I was thinking Sis. UPC would say something about it. She looked at me and said "I just love this show!" LOLOLOL! Meanwhile, my hubby's lil Baptist g'ma was like "Just look at this mess". HA!

Re: Hilarious Apostolic Editing!!
Agreed, too funny!
The ? is, how many closet TV viewers are there? I know there are preachers w/TV in their home. Several years ago sat in living room of a DS, and there was a TV on.....with a VHS tape playing a service.
Interesting that the internet got a free pass.
My dad bought our TV when I was 6 or 7. Most of the church folks had one, Except for the pastor....

Re: Hilarious Apostolic Editing!!
I have a T.V., I pay for cable, my wife watches it, I don't. I have too much of a life to watch T.V., yet not too busy to keep me away from AFF.
