Sis. Rhoni,
When our eldest son informed us of what they had arranged for us,
I told him why didn't you all just wait until next year for the big one.
He said, "We wanted to do this THIS year and we'll do something BIG
next year for the BIG ONE!!
Those little "bundles" we carried in their early formative years have
grown into some of life's greatest blessings. Not just in the material
things they do for us, but to sit among them in church as they serve
the Living God there and in the community we live in as they work in
and among the people we have known all their lifetimes. They are
continuing the work set forth by my parents when I was a young
girl and then a young wife and mother in the community where we
were planted over fifty years ago. These old roots are pretty deep
now. I love the promises of God.
Psalm 92:12-15
"
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like
a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in
the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and
flourishing;
To shew that the LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no
unrighteousness in Him.
Isaiah 54: 17,..in part.
"This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their
righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Titus 3:5-6
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, by according
to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which He shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior;
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according
to the hope of eternal life."
Just giving some glory to my Lord and My God this beautiful Saturday
morning in America!
Blessings,
