Because when we preach that it is holy for a man to wear PANTS and someone sees them in shorts, they say, "Hey, I thought your pastor preached that you need to wear pants and you don't have pants on, you have shorts on." They don't say, "Man, how cool is that, you have on short pants."

That's how it can cause confusion.

Thank the Lord that I hadn't take a drink of my Dr. Pepper yet, as I would have spit it all over my monitor.

That was funny.

(Not that I agree with it, but it was funny nonetheless!)

Just stating what is - that's all
Yes, I know Mark some think different than us however we still can be friends. I have many friends that are Assembly of God and they KNOW exactly what I believe and how I feel however I am not God to force people. The Lord gave me a ministry to help trinity people and (not bragging) but over the years I would say that I have blessed to baptize many of them in Jesus Name. In fact (NOT BRAGGING AGAIN) but I have baptized whole churches in Jesus name...
To me Jesus Name baptism is important....very important.

I have done ladies conferences for the Assembly of God several times, done for the Baptists right here in or city and for other groups. At the Baptist (formal) church before their meeting was over people recieved the Holy Ghost weeping and talking in tongues...

I did not have to tell them I was different they saw my dress...but they wanted what I have.
I think by kindness we can win a lot more people than some rude (not speaking of you) methods I have seen on this forum in times past.

The highest court in our city ask me to come speak to the workers...some were judges and all kinds of important people...They did not gather to look at my dress and I did not go to look at their dress. I told them about a Jesus that called me to their land when I was a mere child...the HG fell in that meeting and Catholic people ended up talking in tongues...

Do we keep them all? No...but we help save as many as we can...I have baptized people that went out and started their own groups...

We must never take our eyes off our goal and that is souls.

How can I help anyone if they do not like me? How can I earn people´s respect if I am crude and rude to them?

It is true on forums we have all kinds of people...the sincere, the insincere, the bitter the hypocrites, the reprobates, the godly the ungodly and on and on...
Attending church requires little sincerity. Genuine Christianity requires much more...the fruits of the spirit...the gifts in operation in our lives and ministries.

Forums like the real world is has its share of selfish sycophants who know no absolute truth, who live for pleasure...however Mark on this forum there are REAL christians too...People that sacrifice, give and work for the kingdom.

It is true also forums are full of doctrinal apostasy BUT we have the choice of making our friends...I remember the words of a wise man of long ago, If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

I need HIM to hear me...I need His blessings...I choose to look for things that unite instead of things that divide...I have uttermost faith that in tribulation times ahead we will need each other...

I pray for those who have lost their way...

Does not the Bible say, For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. (1 Cor. 11:19 )

Wheat and tares grow together...

God would have us to be wise. Be not like the two hundred that went in the "simplicity" of their hearts after Absalom in his rebellion, not knowing anything, but that he was to pay his vow in Hebron, 2 Sam. 15:11.

Well just a few scatted thoughts...Blessings to you and all our AFF. Sister Alvear

Sis. Alvear, you are an awesome lady. I highly respect you for the sacrifice that you make for the kingdom of God. I wish we could just all decided to live peacefully and not argue over every little thing. So, you don't believe like I do, big whoop, we can still be friends and converse without it turning into a personal attack.

People just need to learn to love Jesus and these things would not be.

Yes I realize there's a wisdom in winning souls
but this is a forum for apostolics or people that have
that background and we like to Fight ( some of us)
others are here for a social outlet you know, talk
about knitting mittons and cooking cabbage, etc
