Apparently some use the internet to be jerks, and to try to be comedians.

Sorry, didn't read the rest of the thread.

Apparently, he doubts your integrity, Tstew.

And, B, for those of us who are TV afficianados, there's this thing called TV Guide, or there's even a channel on digital cable or satellite to tell you EXACTLY where the T-Bone is.

Or, we could surf our UC approved internet to find the TV schedule.

HAVE FUN!
Actually you were fighting US and no we haven't asked why, we knew why. We just think it's inconsistant with not preaching against the internet. I don't care if you don't watch TV.,

Maybe he uses Yahweh.com for his search engine instead of Yahoo.com.

Kendrick, you probably don't even know my name, so I'm not even going to address whether your doubt of what my Holy Ghost and conscience guide me to do really matters to me. As for the second part, there are so many places where you find out what is showing that I don't even know where to begin. I guess when something has been so engrained in you you don't really need logic to defend or understand it.
But having said all this I already can see that this convo is pretty much hopeless.

HAVE FUN!
I guess I'm not one of those "guys" you describe above but I'll chime in anyhoo...

First of all, I haven't really seen anyone tell others that they HAD to have a television. The argument is usually - "Who are you to tell others that they cannot have a television. This is an important distinction because it focuses upon individual freedoms and conscience (Romans 14).

I think at least some of your apparent anger or frustration should be dispelled when you see the strawman in your argument.

Next, for myself... there is obviously no Scriptural reason to have to have a television- any more than there's any reason to put our Bibles into codex form instead of the ancient scroll format used by the originals. There are simply matters of convenience and expedience involved. Technology should make our lives better.

So, once you stop projecting your own desire to control upon others and realize that most people have a live and let live attitude about these things, you will finally be at peace with yourself and, I believe, your friendships and other relationships will thrive.

... Not to mention the benefit that such peace will bring to your walk with God.

Speaking of "walk", where is your scriptural permission to own a car. Do you know how many people those vile things kill every year? Why would you want to spend thousands of dollars supporting such an evil industry?
