That was where my husband and I got aquainted. He was the driver on the way back from the rally. I was sitting in the back with my friend and her boyfriend. They went to sleep and we talked.
We still do most of our talking when we go for drives out the roads here.

Re: UPC Culture
"Mixed bathing"
"Movie houses"
Two terms that I have only ever heard whilst in the UPC. The first obviously means, to go swimming with members of the opposite sex present (and make the local water park sound more like a Roman orgie) and the latter stands for the "Thee-aye-tore" -said with my best old British accent.

I am fairly open minded about things and so I took my family to the local water park and let me tell you it may as well have been one.
Not a place I will go back to and not a place I recommend. Make your pool in the back yard a fun place to play and have friends over but avoid the water parks. I was surprised, shocked, amazed, dumbfounded, appaled, you name it and that was me.

It has been a few years but there are people who should not legally be allowed to wear swim wear. LOL
But..... I didn't see sex behind every bush either.

Then I need to go to the one you went to. The things these people were doing they may as well have been having sex. It was very suggestive. And you are right many people should never be seen in swim wear. There are also many that can wear it but need to wear a lot more of it than they do.

My husband and I went to our first ever water park last summer with our church youth group at WI Dells. We loved it! There wasn't anything "sexual" going on. There were indeed people there that should have thought twice about wearing a swimsuit, however, I see the same stuff on the streets, in the local stores, and in my neighbors yard!
Believe it or not, my husband and I were NOT the only ones wearing CLOTHES on the various water rides. Perhaps this is because an amusement park was also part of the water park and alot of people came for the amusement side of it but then got hot and decided to get wet. Whatever the reason, we definitely didn't look "weird" because we lacked swimming suits.
We particularly enjoyed a water attraction called Posiedon's(sp) Rage. Its a HUGE tidal wave pool where people stand and wait for the big wave to hit them. It was awesome!
