Justin met his birth mother yesterday

We took Justin to Michigan yesterday where he got to meet his birth mother and one of his biological half brothers for the first time.

I have to tell you that as his Mom, I was pretty nervous about this. I had been told that she (Dana) has changed a great deal for the better since she lost custody of him, but I wanted to see it for myself. And honestly, I was a little nervous that she was going to come to this meeting thinking that she was going to just take over where she had left off when she lost him at 11 months (for the final time).

I really do believe that there have been some very big changes in this young woman. I'm very glad for her and for her children who live with her now. But I'm also very glad to be able to say that she handled this meeting real

Re: Justin met his birth mother yesterday

Margie, I think it was very mature of you and Walt to allow Justin to meet her and form some sort of relationship. It seems that your prayers were answered and everything went well. I'm sure it settled some questions in his mind to know that he was indeed loved, but she just made some poor choices.

Margie, this is so good. I'm glad that it went so well and that all of the adults were actually adults about everything. I'm sure that that will pay high dividends with your son.

God Bless

Margie, am so glad that y'all were able to do this for Justin. Will keep y'all in my prayers.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
