PETA...

...is NUTZ!!!!!!

PETA tried to run an ad comparing the abuse of animals to the atrocity that occurred on the greyhound bus in Canada!!!!

Quote from the article:

"...However, city editor Tara Seel said Thursday the newspaper had no intention of running the ad, which uses imagery of a victim's throat being cut, in reference to the slaughter of animals on factory farms.

"His struggles and cries are ignored ... the man with the knife shows no emotion ... the victim is slaughtered and his head cut off ... his flesh is eaten," reads the ad posted on the PETA site.

"If this ad leaves a bad taste in your mouth, please give a thought to what sensitive animals think and feel when they come to the end of their frightening journey and see, hear and smell the slaughterhouse," it says...."

Re: PETA...

Well, I was hoping this was something I could disagree with, so I could continue fussing with you (TIC) from yesterday, I have been in a cranky mood all week...

But this is just dumb. And stupid. And possibly evil.

So, I agree. But just about this. And only for right now.

It's okay. I won't hold it against you.

Re: PETA...

The sad thing is that PETA is counterproductive to their cause.

They are so over the top they are a joke.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: PETA...

Personally, I've always had a deep love for defenseless animals...
