I didn't accuse myself of anything, Luke. I know exactly where I stand. It was you and someone else who came out with the OSAS nonsense. No doubt others will do the same thing. That's the nature of too many OPs, in my opinion. Start accusing and then ask questions later. Whatever.

I still believe what was preached on the day of Pentecost. I see no need to take away, or add to that. So I don't want to be post-Pentecostal. PTL!

I read yoru posts but that is nothing close to what you said. Hinted maybe yes but nothing clear.

Quote:
If she wants to think that what she looks like and the works she does is what saves her, thus leaving others who don't look like she does and do the works she does to be unsaved, THAT is what I have a problem with. It's unbiblical. The other above issues don't go against Bible.
I understand and agree in part. Works in themselves don't save but our response to God does which is works. Thus works reflect our response to the leading of the Spirit. Romans 8 Also everyone at some point draws lines on works that are essential to be saved unless you are OSAS in belief. Even then they have a start line that includes the finish. Does what she wears save her? Does me not committing fornication save me? Directly no. Indirectly yes, as sin leads to death. Does obediance save? Yes! So the matter of what context one puts to obediance matters. To him that believes it is sin it is sin. Should one go around bringing people down and cast everyone into hell? No! At the same time it doesn't mean it is not a heaven or hell issue either. All things done in love is what matters and seeking God for his leading into all truth. In this it sounds like you have taught her well.

I just stated I didn't know that you where! As the language(which accuses) sounded like you where.

I ask for forgiveness!

Don't worry about it, Luke. This place is just putting me in a bad mood today, so I am not responding to stuff the right way.

Pentecost was doing great when I found it and if I left it she would still be Pentecost. I wasn't a great addition I was the benefactor NOT them. I was the sinner that need saving and I was saved not to improve the church. My addition was a liability not an asset. I am a DEBTOR. A debt will never be able to pay THEY OWE ME NOTHING! It changed me I have no desire to change it.
I am sorry they could not recognize the great potential and talents all of you had what a shame they lost all those assets.
But guess what the church goes on. Your squirt gun will never put out the rays of the Sun or your shovel will never remove the beach.
Right, you found something you needed. As did I. Of course I could find more and reserve the right to change my mind.

But you just hinted that if they don't have your version of standards they will eventually become charismatics and deny the very truth that saves them.

Re: No Thanks, I Will Stay Old Time Pentecost

I'm sure Jesus, and likely many other leaders of the "REAL OLD TIME" ways, would have been future train wrecks with those beards of theirs.

"For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and
you say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking,
and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax
collectors and "sinners." (Luke 7:33-34)

Sounds similar to me, anyone that doesn't fit your "view" or "standards"(not necessarily holiness standards) are wrong, not in truth, and headed for... Well you said it.

Do I think there are plenty of people that HAVE lost their way? Sure. Letting go of a standard, a path, a way is not something that should be done lightly. Much prayer, fasting, and studying must be done. The apostles doctrine is what we must seek. Whether it's what we have, or not. Just because "Bro. rev. Bishop President" said it doesn't mean it is correct. We must always keep watch, even as saints as to what we are being (or have been) taught and fed.

- Again

Ask the pharasies what a train wreck looks like... Guess who had the "old" ways then and there?

1And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
2And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Sounds strangely familiar....
