Mystery Solved: George L. Glass Sr.
A while back, TimLan wrote where he was pretty sure that George L. Glass Sr. was originally PCI.
I talked with George L. Glass Jr. tonight at a funeral visitation. He said that his dad was indeed part of the leadership of the PCI when they merged with the PAJC in 1945. He said that his dad was involved in the missions dept. from the get-go of the UPCI.
He also said that his dad told him late in his life that he never told anyone that they were going to hell if they hadn't received the Holy Ghost! In essence, he was a one stepper! Basically, George L. Glass Sr. went along with everybody to keep the peace. In his own church, it was taught differently!

Was this Sybil's visitation?
I was already pretty sure he felt this way.

My dad used to have GG Sr. come preach for us(me) every year. What a man!

Kenneth and Wanda Phillips are out of the Alexandira church.
Geo. Glass Sr. was a strong N.B. proponent but allowed that a person might be saved by repentance and being baptized in the name of Jesus as a minimum requirement. He never let this be known since he was very strong N.B. in all of his preaching.

As Apprehensive has noted Kenneth Phillips is out of G.A. Manguns church now pastored by Anthony Mangun. That is one reason he and Anthony have been pretty close through the years. Despite their age difference they were friends when young.

Re: Mystery Solved: George L. Glass Sr.
Wanda Phillips is a cousin to George Sr.'s daughter-in-law - - that's the only connection I know of.

Yes! Bro. Cleveland Becton was there too, as he was her brother.
I also ran into George Lee! His personality hasn't changed a bit thru the years! Great guy! He still looks good, although there are a few less hairs!

From my conversation with George L. Glass Jr., I believe you are correct!

Where was this funeral at? I would have loved to have seen George Lee and his daddy.
I heard that George Lee's wife is beautiful and he is bald!!!!!
