Re: Mystery Solved: George L. Glass Sr.

Pastor G,

GLGJr did not tell me that his father taught one step salvation. He only told me that his father never told anyone that didn't have the Holy Ghost, that they were going to hell.

I surmised that if he didn't preach hell for non Holy Ghost filled people, he must be deep down a one-stepper!

Many one-steppers preach the Acts 2:38 message very strongly. In fact, I am very strong myself in believing the Acts 2:38 message. Although I believe the Acts 2:38 message, I believe the blood is applied at repentance and belief in Jesus Christ. I strongly encourage everyone to follow thru with baptism in Jesus name and the baptism of the Holy ghost!

I will not put anyone in Hell for not receiving the gift of Holy Ghost by speaking in tongues, or not being baptized in "Jesus name". I encourage this path, but I'm not their judge! I've seen too many sold out, dedicated Christians that have not followed my exact path. I believe I am correct, and they are wrong, but I can't say they're going to Hell!

Re: Mystery Solved: George L. Glass Sr.

In my mind nobody stands above Papa George.

I would encourage everyone to try to find a sermon he preached at General Conference: He hath exaulted his Word above His Name.

It is one of his many masterpieces.

Ferd, I taught for Dan Welborn from DeRidder ( he lived in BR). I know his dad went to the DeRidder church? Are you kin to that family. Dan was a prince of a man and a wonderful principal.

PM... I understand that George Jr. didn't tell you that... He has mentioned the statement you said he said to others as well.... But your assumption that what he said meant George Sr. was a 1 stepper, was wrong...

And I will go farther and say that to even attempt to insinuate that he was a 1 stepper when He gave his life to the UPC, believed and preached 3 steps is very wrong of you... To try to throw into question his 3 step beliefs 18 years after his death, citing his son as a source, and then surmizing something like that is deplorable... It is suggesting that he was a hypocrite, believing one thing deep down and yet teaching and preaching another... George Glass Sr. was a tremendous man of integrity and IMO you have tried to bring that down a notch while he is in the grave...

You say Mystery Solved like you have really come up with some truth... But, sir, I believe you have spoken out of turn... There is no Mystery. George Glass Sr. was a 3 stepper... This I do not assume... This I know...

As I stated before... Papa George never put anyone in hell, regardless of their beliefs... Neither do I or most of the preachers I know... For we do not have that right... God is judge... But to say, because he stopped short of saying you will go to hell without the Holy Ghost, means that he was deep down a 1 stepper, is totally false and irresponsible to say...

Are you an admin? If you are, you should know better...

Re: Mystery Solved: George L. Glass Sr.

The thing to remember is that neither point of view has been proven here. I'm sure pianoman means no ill to the memory of GG Sr. I'm sure that was not his intension. But that GG was a one or three stepper has not been proven.....

I'd say that's a wrap.

Do you consider yourself an authority on what your father taught? Why would you doubt GG's relatives?
