No vote no voice

I was just thinking, i know most of you vote, but if you dont you dont have anything to say about what happens, get out there and vote for the candidate of your choice, then exercise your lungs all you want, dt

um...you're wrong about that...if i don't vote i still have a right to say whatever i want about what happens...it's in the constitution.

i am not going to vote. it's the first time in my life that i have not voted. i've always voted straight republican but about two years ago i changed my affiliation and am now independent.

i'd hoped to be able to find a candidate that i could support in this election, but i didn't. i have significant moral/ethical/biblical/spiritual problems with both problems, so much so that i cannot in good conscience vote for either one of them. for me, it is the better choice to opt out of the voting process and make the statement (albeit a miniscule one at best) that both sides are wrong than to feel forced to vote against my conscience and pretend that I am ok with a candidate that I think promotes things that are immoral.

i am one those 'issues' voters and i choose to participate on the side of the issues on an individual basis rather than buy into the structured platforms of a party. i'll fight for what's right even though i don't vote. by doing so i think i'm being more consistent with my beliefs than if i were to do otherwise.

Re: No vote no voice

Here's a thought.... lol

If you vote, you have no right to complain because you participated in a system that elected the idiots. lol

Those who don't vote have all the right in the world to complain, they didn't elect anyone. hehe

You can write in a candidate if you don't like the ones listed, but I won't give a person the time of day if they complain about the leadership, but didn't vote at all. Constitution or no constitution.

That's very American of you, thanks. I'm glad I wear a watch.

Isn't a write in candidate a waste of time? Not to mention the waste of fossil fuels to drive to the polling station to write in a useless vote.

You're missing my point btw, I am voting. I'm voting in the same way that people vote with their feet when they leave a church. It's just that with people like me there is no question as to our intention and there are no hanging chad debates.

I decide not to vote! I wrote in my vote instead!!! I felt we had no real choice, once again. My three kids 18, 21, 23 voted Obama. Yes they are all HG filled! Yes I support their right to pick whoever they want!

at the urging of my wife and son i actually did go and vote. i wrote my BIL for Prez and voted fiscally and socially conservative on all the Props.

I'm little disappointed though, I haven't seen my BIL's numbers on Fox News yet. Wonder how he's doing?
