Bro. Berkeley,
I have an idea that it might have been that the Spirit made
intercession with groanings that could not be uttered. Some-
times because we don't know how to pray as we ought, the
Spirit, if yielded to, will do it for us.
Not with words, but with
sounds, like groanings. He that searcheth the heart, knows
the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the
saints according to the will of God. Rom.8:26,27 paraphased.
I have heard those who after repenting would feel such a relief
that it sounds like they were "howling" with JOY!
The moans and
groans were gone and had been replaced with joy unspeakable
and full of glory!
After a mother-to-be has carried the weight of a child under her
breasts for nine months, she longs for deliverance. Then the labor
(moans and groans, and strong crying begins. She knows there is
a process to go through to bring about the "emptying of herself".
She knows she alone must endure this "death" or so it might seem.
No use to try to put it into words. So she gives in to groans and
moans, and labor when suddenly deliverance comes, she knows
that something happened, but wait...then she hears the cry. Her
child is alive! Now she can howl for JOY! Deliverence has come.
Howl, Bro. 1399! Weeping may endure for the night (time of
darkness) but JOY cometh in the morning (dawning of a new day).
Blessings,
