He would then tell them that Walideua meant "Thank God" in french.

He would have them say it over and over, faster and faster, while pushing their head back and forth with one hand and with the other hand shaking their arm up and down.

He said having them say "Waliduea" , put that "doulble lick" on their tongue.

We had 80 pray thru in his revival, not many stuck but they got to report the numbers.

Of course we would never have someone repeat Walideua over and over. We just have them say Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus, Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus, Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus, Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus ....... Jethth...... Hebeth....there now you it !!!!!!!!!

I've looked and looked but I can't find anything resembling one of our O/P altar services in the bible.
I was surprised to read that Bro JT Pugh wrote that he believed something very similar in order to loosen people's tongues up and allow them to truly speak in tongues once they "practiced".

Really...that is a bit shocking.

Where is this in scripture...."whatsoever you loose on earth I'll loose in heaven"

Sounds like more of our "loose" doctrine

Shocked me, too! I read it with my own eyes in one of his books.

I remember hearing a preacher on the radio telling how a person preparing for the ministry was taught on how to get people to speak with tongues. The idea was to repeat the following until your tongue got tangled up:

See my tie.
See my bow tie.
See me tie my tie.
See me tie my bowtie.

I've heard people told to say "Jesus" faster and faster "until you lose your tongue."
